If pup didn't leave mum until 8 weeks old, they've only had him for 5 weeks.

How can someone possibly get a puppy without thinking past lockdown or what might happen when they go back to work?

People are pigs.

Poor puppy, he’s so adorable. What sort of fucking selfish idiot doesn’t think of the future (or even a couple of months ahead!) when getting a pet

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 03/06/2020 21:57

LOADs of people were on the hunt for dogs and puppies at the start of lockdown.

People are thick and pathetic at times........at least this poor little soul is so young if he does get a decent home he has a good chance of adapting well.

stophuggingme · 03/06/2020 22:01

I’m hoping the 2% of people who think YABU are either oissed or pressed the wrong response.

Totally vile and immoral and self indulgent wankery

Jellykat · 03/06/2020 22:05

Fuckwits! .. that is so upsetting !

LillianBland · 03/06/2020 22:06

Absolutely horrendous way to treat a pup. I do believe it’s either a scam or puppy farm, but can posters please stop with comments regarding their SPAG. There are people who have genuine difficulties with SPAG, for various reasons. That doesn’t make them ‘thick’.

3isthemagicnumber3 · 03/06/2020 22:18

Not even immunised! I have rescued a puppy and managed to get all his immunisations done in lockdown! People are shocking and she should be banned from owning pets.

Cherrysoup · 03/06/2020 22:20

An interested person offered the asking price and was told someone offered £450 so she took that much. Clearly got an eye on the cash, the bitch. So pup has been re-homed. It’s not the only pup I’ve seen advertised today. In a few months, there’ll be loads advertised, same with horses. People are buying horses unseen within minutes of ads going up. It’s insane.

SoupDragon · 03/06/2020 22:24

if you were the sort of person who found spelling difficult, wouldn't you use 'vet' not 'veterinarian'?

I don't think anyone in the U.K. really uses anything other than "vet" do they? I've never called them a "veterinarian"

Tempnamelady · 03/06/2020 22:24

I absolutely despise people like this.

Mojitomogul · 03/06/2020 22:27

Oh poor thing this makes me so angry and sad Angry she writes like a twat what is wrong with people.. thick as pig shite

Haenow · 03/06/2020 22:28

That’s grim but fortunately, the pup is probably young enough to be trained as long as he goes to the right family who are adequately committed.

Ugzbugz · 03/06/2020 22:29

Can this nation become anymore thicker???

DKanin · 03/06/2020 22:35

That's absolutely disgusting, poor little dog. I really hope he finds a decent home

Dartsplayer · 03/06/2020 22:37

Poor little pup. My family have wanted a puppy for ages and my response has always been no, we're at work/school all day. Been furloughed since 1st April with a possibility of not going back til October - can we have a puppy - no because we will go back to work and school eventually. Work decide that after this is all over they are getting rid of the office and will run a virtual office with everyone working from home - mum can we have a puppy - no because it isn't confirmed yet. Once it is confirmed then I may consider it - it's not difficult to say no. What is wrong with people

Gingerkittykat · 03/06/2020 22:38

There's loads of puppy scams going on right now so the dog might not even exist. The scammer will ask for money by bank transfer and say they will deliver and then the puppy never turns up.

DancyNancy · 03/06/2020 22:39

Jesus christ. What a dick head thing to do

Fluffybutter · 03/06/2020 22:42

Stuff like this has me raging !
Fucking imbeciles .

ArgumentativeAardvaark · 03/06/2020 22:52

Yeah, nobody in the U.K. says “veterinarian”. Fishy.

It is disgusting. Hopefully he'll find a forever home with people who will love him to bits and treat him wonderfully.

I don’t know what your job role entails but I’m wfh for the rest of the year and it’s been so full on there is no way I could entertain a puppy.

I’m flat out, at a screen, on calls 8am till 6pm, no option of leaving the calls to let a puppy out, exercise it, give it attention etc

It’s just not possible to succeed in a professional manner whilst training and engaging with a puppy

MovinOnUp · 03/06/2020 23:16

And so it begins :(

FruitPastillesaregood · 03/06/2020 23:18

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 03/06/2020 23:31

This makes me so sad.
I thought this would happen too, there will be lots of rehomes.
Horrible people.

We did however get a puppy during lockdown but we had been on a reserve list for ages, just so happened that he was ready during lockdown.
He has had his vaccinations ( vet collects him from the car), been treated for fleas and microchipped.
I've secured a place at doggy daycare for when things go back to normal.

That said, I'm super aware that he is very used to having someone around all of the time and even popping to the shops could be a nightmare. So we leave him for 10 minutes a day.
Drive the car and sit in the supermarket carpark for 10 minutes haha.
