Is his four year old vulnerable? Any more than the other four year old up and down the land??

Clavinova · 27/05/2020 17:41

I bet Dido was a good laugh at the supper nights in chipping norton when Dave and Boris were proper friends.

Do we actually know they mixed socially at Oxford? Boris Johnson and David Cameron did through several clubs but Dido Harding is 52 and Boris Johnson is nearly 56.

NotABeliever · 27/05/2020 17:41

I'd never vote for him anyway and I feel it'd be pointless to reply when he would just cut and paste another useless reply.

Roussette · 27/05/2020 17:43

Boris is too terrified to govern without DC. We all know who is really running the country. Boris's attempt to use his floppy haired "charm" to change the subject is pathetic. Well it may work on Carrie Symonds but not on the rest of the nation

^^ This.

Why can't he be compelled to attend Liaison Committee mtgs

SophieB100 · 27/05/2020 17:43

I didn't bother to email my MP, knew she would follow the party line. And our local paper today issued a statement from her, and she backs Cummings/PM totally.
Now if I lived in another area of the City, I'd have an MP who is gunning for Cummings, and like a little rottweiller won't let go.

It's the pretence of the exceptionality of DC's circumstances that pisses me off the most. They weren't even both sick when they left London FFS.

AnneKipanki · 27/05/2020 17:45

The Wizard of Boz

tobee · 27/05/2020 17:45

Why would DC not even have to consider resigning? Because he calls the shots. He will have told Johnson endlessly that "we have an 80 seat majority. There is no election on the cards. We can do what we like" That's basically the essence of it.

bobtrain · 27/05/2020 17:45

I perfectly agree with this notification. The language used at times during this thread shows lack of restraint, bad manners and lacks education. Using swearing to get a point over is very poor. The one thing I have been impressed by all the speakers at the briefings have been their patience and politeness. Perhaps some of you could cut out the swearing. We live in a country of free speech but there is no need to be offensive.

tobee · 27/05/2020 17:47

Perhaps you ought to go to use another forum if you don't like the swearing bobtrain? Rather try to tell others how to behave to fit in with your personal wishes?

sleepingpup · 27/05/2020 17:48

Sorry bob I swear all the time and I'm not stopping now.

YouTheCat · 27/05/2020 17:49

Do you not see the irony in mentioning 'free speech' and then admonishing us for swearing?

Many of our commonly used swear words have their roots in history . It's very educational.

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:50

Other threads and forums are available, Bob.

LaurieMarlow · 27/05/2020 17:51

Yes little women. Stop the swearing, it’s terribly unladylike. No decent man would want you.

And remember, when Boris and Dom want your opinion, they’ll give it to you.

Move on now, there’s a dear.

DuncinToffee · 27/05/2020 17:51

New to MN bobtrain? Swearing is allowed, we are all adults

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:51

When Malcolm Tucker was admonished for using cuss words, he obviously acquiesced immediately

SophieB100 · 27/05/2020 17:52

So, once the wonderful track and trace is up and running, which might be tomorrow - if people don't comply, fines or other measures will be issued. Boris said that. How can he possibly think this is acceptable, when his high profile aide flouted measures so blatantly at a time when the R number was sky high?
That's the most shocking thing I took from that.

TangibleTuTu · 27/05/2020 17:52

I also think the reason DC did not tell Boris was not because Boris was gravely ill but in fact because he didn't believe he needed to. The PM reports to DC remember. I am sure DC thought he could do whatever he wanted and inform the PM after the fact, if at all. He is outraged at the idea that he has to justify himself at all. That's why there is no apology and no regret. His hubris and arrogance knows no limit.

Jonad · 27/05/2020 17:54

I’m glad that DC has had it already otherwise I think the app might collapse from the sheer number of people and places he’s been recently.

Jonad · 27/05/2020 17:54

*people he’s seen

Decmum19 · 27/05/2020 17:55

I'm getting so annoyed that Matt Hancock is placing the track and trace aspect on us and is emphasising that we need to think about our loved ones and community and do the right thing. DC didn't think of anyone but himself when he made his decisions and it's a bloody cheek that we're being told that either we volunteer or they'll make it mandatory, like we're all kids. Why don't they apply this tough love and emotional blackmail approach to make DC leave?

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:55

Did DC say he tested positive for Covid-19, ever?

Jonad · 27/05/2020 17:56

To be fair he said he hadn’t been tested but it seems likely.

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:56

Here's "Dido"

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 17:58

What does 'self isolate' even mean now?
