Hey guys. We dont want to talk about DC any more. Boris says.so

Roussette · 27/05/2020 16:28

Yes... this guy is right.
It is pivotal. We are angry.

No Boris you've got it wrong about this 'political ding dong' as you call it.
How patronising

Hibbetyhob · 27/05/2020 16:28

Yvette Cooper was fantastic.

Boris thinks if he keeps saying he’s being clear, that’s the same as actually being clear.

chomalungma · 27/05/2020 16:28

@The80sweregreat

I have only just tuned in as was busy so I'm behind. The liaison committee are being stern. I didn't think he would be on the tv. I've heard 'move on' 3 times already... or maybe more
I wonder how many people are watching this - great afternoon TV for people
LockdownLucie · 27/05/2020 16:28

How many more times will he use the phase ‘move on’?

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 27/05/2020 16:30

Go on Yvette 👏

SophieB100 · 27/05/2020 16:30

He kept saying about how the news stories were false. But, the press conference with Cummings in the rose garden, was clear to all. There was enough in that, enough holes in his fabricated reasons for fleeing to Durham to sack him. We all know that!

The80sweregreat · 27/05/2020 16:30

I knew it was being done but thought behind closed doors.

LockdownLucie · 27/05/2020 16:31

Yvette was brilliant he has definitely underestimated the strength of feeling of the nation and on mumsnet. But regardless he would rather boil his own eyeballs than slate or sack his best friend DC.

JamieLeeCurtains · 27/05/2020 16:31

God he's stupid, arrogant and HOW THE FUCK DID HE GET INTO OXFORD??!

ZaZathecat · 27/05/2020 16:31

It's on now. PM just got a superb grilling by Yvette Cooper, but still managed to duck and dive his way out of answering.

chomalungma · 27/05/2020 16:32

This is as good as PMQs.

Less 'does the PM agree that he is brilliant"

solieltoday · 27/05/2020 16:32

Notice the (not) very subtle shift in phraseology since Friday - they never say “Stay Home” anymore, now it’s “Self-isolate.”

It’s actually astonishing how stupid they think people are.

NoMoreReluctantCustodians · 27/05/2020 16:32

Oh dear. Hes making it up as he goes along

ZaZathecat · 27/05/2020 16:33

Sorry I was a bit late with that! Just updated the page and realised your all talking about it already.

SophieB100 · 27/05/2020 16:33

Sanctions if people don't stay at home???
er....hello Boris?

Speechless!

Will everyone just calm down. Get back to just dealing with Covid 19. My daughter levies 150 miles from me. She has a 3 yr old and 8 yr old. I didn't need to be told by anyone if it would be ok for me to travel to help out with child care. My daughter has an auto immune disease and her husband is a key health worker. I would simply just go. Dominic Cummings did not go partying in a rave or commit a crime. The police have not arrested him even though they had already spoken to Cummings father.

chomalungma · 27/05/2020 16:34

I don't think he knows how the test, track and trace system works

solieltoday · 27/05/2020 16:36

“God he's stupid, arrogant and HOW THE FUCK DID HE GET INTO OXFORD??!”

It must have been easier to get into Oxbridge in the 80s. That’s all I can think of.

solieltoday · 27/05/2020 16:36

What about if people refuse to sign up for the track and trace until DC is out?

ZaZathecat · 27/05/2020 16:37

bobtrain but if it was you travelling to help your daughter and you do not have Covid, that is within the guidelines. However, if your daughter had Covid and decided to drive to you with her child, that is not.

SophieB100 · 27/05/2020 16:38

Of course you would @bobtrain.
And no one but you and your family would know.
Unlike what happened here - you didn't presumably set the rules did you? Your decision wouldn't undermine the whole lowdown campaign.

You can't compare what you would do with what Cummings did - we're all fuming at the hypocrisy of it. He created a slogan to keep people (us) at home. Then he flouted his own advice.
