Though you do see some really funny things on here I agree @derxa

Especially the question avoiders eh @CendrillonSings

Roussette · 29/05/2020 13:27

bobtrain Why are you so rude? I can only imagine you are on the back foot with this shower of a government and you know it.

I usually find that when posters kick out with inane and rude comments like you have just done, they don't have anything valid to say. It's embarrassing. For you.

I agree with all you have said and would add I find it quite sad too. This great Country with so much to offer reduced to this

Ah, you were telling the farmers who were concerned about it to stop being so dramatic then?I think you were (reasonably) curt with one poster who said farmers should just sanitise their own hands if they were worried about ramblers touching gates on the rights of way crossing their land. I can't remember all of this about sanitising hands. I must AS myself. As I recall the OP was a goady person who said she should have the right to walk dogs through fields with ewes and lambs. She may have had the right to do this according to law but it was frightening to read. Farmer friends of mine had to contend with this. Sheep worrying is a serious matter. My shepherd has had to get rid of her own young dog recently. She was on the verge of shooting her own dog because of poor recall.

sleepingpup · 29/05/2020 13:30

I would never have a melt down about anything. I am too laid back. Hence my first comment on this sight for everyone to calm down.

patronising much. 🙄

Roussette · 29/05/2020 13:30

National R is also still below 1
Barely in some areas.

And 800 deaths in two days is 'minimum'?

I call 'minimum' Spain at the moment... 35 deaths in the last seven days.

Not 800 in two days.

eleventy3isthemagicnumber · 29/05/2020 13:33

How many people do not use Twitter or instagram or Facebook etc. A great majority

Erm, no not really. According to stastista.com, approx 44.84 million residents of the United Kingdom (UK) used Facebook in the United Kingdom as of March 2020.

Facebook is insanely popular.

YouTheCat · 29/05/2020 13:33

10000 new cases in the last 4 days.

Curve is not flat enough.

Highest excess death rate in the world is not the time to ease lock down.

derxa · 29/05/2020 13:33

derxa - people traipsed about the countryside before with their dogs endangering ewes and lambs, and those who were inconsiderate or ignorant enough then, will continue to do so, now and next year and the year after. Nope it's been worse here- much worse. Remember this is my life not a theoretical situation. People heard 'daily exercise' and went a bit mad.

It is worrying.

YouTheCat · 29/05/2020 13:37

I do agree with you about the arseholes being inconsiderate in the countryside. There's been at least two or three threads from seriously angry and despairing posters about it since lock down began.

I saw a nice bit of film today. Someone couldn't get a parking place in Cornwall so they could go to the beach so they opened a gate and parked their nice big BMW in a farmer's field. Sadly for the illegally parked owner, it was slurry spreading day. Grin

Yes. They did. It wasn't funny. It wasn't funny when farmers were on here appealing to the public to rein it in, it wasn't funny when some tossers told MN farmers to just wash their hands, and it's not funny that Johnson's advisor drove around and put strain on NHS services near his parents. It's absolutely not funny that Johnson and the highest levels of government are trying to pretend this wasn't an infringement of the guidance instead of apologising.

And it's absolutely not funny that you are trying to squash public dissent with the government's actions through mocking remarks.

YouTheCat · 29/05/2020 13:47

Oh it was a mercedes.

I thought Cummings should have been sacked but he's not going to be. Email your MP, sign a petition but getting high blood pressure over this man is a bit pointless. We all know what DC is. An anarchist and a disrupter. He's probably enjoying the fuss.

Alsohuman · 29/05/2020 13:57

@bobtrain

Only idiots read the The Mirror. That has to be the worst newspaper ever.
All those idiots have votes, inconvenient though you must find it.
CendrillonSings · 29/05/2020 14:01

Remember the last time the Mirror carried out a smear job - hospital photo-gate?

That was four days before the election. Their readers didn’t seem to have enough votes though Smile

monkeyonthetable · 29/05/2020 14:06

Wow @bobtrain: take Valium? Like a good little Stepford wife. Let's not bother our pretty, silly little heads with things like wanting a decent and effective government.

YouTheCat · 29/05/2020 14:16

I'm just a poor, fuzzy-brained woman. I shall just look at kittens because the man has told me not to worry my silly self with all these big thoughts.

If you are genuinely concerned about my blood pressure, don't join in with the "move on" piffle.

Telling someone to "move on" after you've been caught out lying is just a seemingly polite way of saying "fuck off", and there has never been a time in history when telling people to fuck off made them less annoyed.

bobtrain · 29/05/2020 14:17

We have a decent effective government. You just don't agree with that comment. Boris your fab. Keep up the great work. I will vote for you every time. Can't wait to get out of Brexit.

Hi Derxa.

It is never pointless. My BP is fine, but if I feel something is wrong I will fight against it. We all should. Giving up is giving in.

Roussette · 29/05/2020 14:25

Hilarious !

I'd love to know what's 'fab' about him!

derxa · 29/05/2020 14:25

don't join in with the "move on" piffle. But I'm not. Take a leaf out of Keir Starmer's book and argue calmly. He's not calling DC names. Keir will have his day and Johnson is on his way out.
