Personally I'm a bit sick of being called a bot because I voted Conservative.

There are a lot of threads with pained titles asking people to explain why they voted Tory/don't hate Boris Johnson etc but when it comes down to it noone is at all interested and it's just an excuse for a pile on.

It's probably a bad time to ask this question tbh. People are so angry - not only at all the lies, but the way in which it's now so obvious that none of them are up to the job, at all. It's frightening in that sense. And frightened people are not reasonable people.

My only issue with conservative (or any party voters actually) is when they defend the indefensible just because that's their party. Other than that, who you vote for is your business so go ahead and post!

Corbyn is irrelevant now I agree, although he wasn't irrelevant at the time of the GE as I expect everyone realises the Tories would have had a much smaller majority without Corbyn at the head of Labour.

Keir Starmer seems a much better leader.

There's a difference between bots and blind Tory supporters who will literally excuse anything they do because it fits their world view and their loyalties. The bots need to fuck off. The rest can just keep posting and showing themselves up for what they are.

There are a handful of sensible Tory supporters who have nuanced views who post on various threads - those are people I can engage with.

Unfortunately most of the people I’ve seen on this site telling people to shut up are Tory snowflakes who can’t bear dear Boris to be criticised.

They are normally the ones who are telling people what they can and can’t talk about.

I’m probably not your target audience here because I rarely get involved with political and argumentative threads. However you asked the question and I’ll answer it, no I don’t want people, whatever their opinions to stay silent. I actively want to read opinions which differ, I want to try to see other people’s point of view not just have an echo chamber.

If Labour put up a credible alternative I'd consider them. Corbyn wasn't the leader and frankly neither is Starmer. (another London centric, anti Brexit, human rights lawyer. That's going to win back the heartlands.)

I'm quite hard left and a Corbyn supporter, always voted Labour. I hate this government. And even I'm sick of the Dominic Cummings backlash. This pandemic is causing people to act hysterically and it's getting on my nerves.

That is used as a very convenient get out of jail card by Labour supporters, to avoid having to discuss criticism of the Labour over the past five years, until April this year anyway.
