Was appalled to see this video on Twitter - a guy in Central park, NYC, who was birdwatching, politely asked a woman to put her dog on the lead as per the regulation in that part of the park. He started filming it as she got abusive and called the cops, to say that she (white) and her dog were being threatened by an African-American man and could they send the police (as we know this can often result in a shooting).All the while she was holding her dog up by dangling it from its collar, half strangling it. The man left and his sister put the video on Twitter, resulting in the racist dog strangler being identified very quickly... she has a high powered job with an insurance company. The animal shelter took back the dog, and her company says she is on 'administrative leave' hopefully meaning she will get fired. I was really shocked and dismayed that such open racism is still going on, even though she was being filmed! Surely she must lose her job at least, what company would want to be linked to something like this?

Her being fired is totally appropriate. Charges would also be appropriate. I don’t think having her harassed and become a ‘victim’ will bring anything positive.

The ongoing complaints, from what I can only assume to be white posters, about how black people (particularly black women) use the term 'Karen' to call out a certain type of racism, is beyond disappointing.

And you’ve interpreted this as:

Arbery sculling g round private building yard presumably with intent to steal. He made off on foot and was intercepted by two men. He physically fought with one and ended up shot in the struggle.

What would he steal from a construction site on foot?

I think theres a difference between defending her actions(don't think anyone is) and taking enjoyment out of her loosing her job, loosing her dog. life being destroyed, i cant take enjoyment out of that im afraid. George Floyd was killed in Broad Daylight by 2 police officers, THAT is something that needs to be on the Internet..

Firstly I've seen the uncensored footage of that encounter, the murderers pick up truck is stopped in the middle of the road, way ahead of Arbery. One of them get out the truck and level their shotgun at Arbery, who changes direction to go around the opposite side from the gunman. The gunman shouts something at him,(according to them they were performing a "citizens arrest") there is then an audible gunshot BEFORE Arbery starts to struggle with his killer who fires at least 2 more times.

Secondly on what fucking planet do you live on where being on a building site with "intent to steal" is a justifiable reason for random civilians to chase and gun down someone?? Utterly ridiculous, and quite frankly sickening, you would even try to justify that.
