Me? My 4 yr ds has gone to sleep before 4am for the first time in about 8 weeks, I'm enjoying the quiet!!!! I will regret it at 7ish when 11month dd gets up, but did it I've not had more than 3 hrs sleep for 2 months so what difference does it make??

Had to come to hospital. Gave birth 3 weeks ago and tonight had a lot of heavy bleeding and passed a lot of disgusting clots so they wanted me to come and be checked.
Currently drinking hot chocolate and eating bourbons whilst I wait for the doctor.

georgie279 · 27/05/2020 02:35

I do wonder if it's our fault... we've always put her down in our room then moved her into her cot.. I just cannot listen to her cry & scream until she can't breathe Sad maybe I'm too soft.. DH certainly thinks I am!

I was furloughed the day I was due back from mat leave which I'm thankful for otherwise I'd have to work 9 hours on very little sleep!

JustStayHome · 27/05/2020 02:36

Listening to an owl and have pain in my wrist, i broke about a year ago.....

Bluesmartiesarethebest · 27/05/2020 02:38

Genuinely worried about the lady who's posted "called the police" I can't sleep.

MonicaGellerBing · 27/05/2020 02:43

Terrible acid after eating a spicy pizza. Feel nauseous. Sat on the sofa watching Lincoln Rhyme

SecretWitch · 27/05/2020 02:45

It’s exceedingly hot here (Massachusetts, USA) our air conditioning unit broke down last summer and we never had it fixed.

I also just feel happiest staying up most of the night and then sleeping until noon.

CardsforKittens · 27/05/2020 02:45

Insomnia here too. I had it all my adult life until about 10 years ago when it just went away for no apparent reason. And now it’s back. Perimenopause + lockdown + unwell parent + work + the news. Bleugh.

VirginWestCoast I can relate to your Twitter argument. Haven’t had one in ages but they take over my life when I have them. Always coincide with my period too (thankfully less frequent these days.)

Peppafrig · 27/05/2020 02:47

Here again tonight still worrying about money due to furlough .

grisen · 27/05/2020 02:48

I’m at work

Disquieted1 · 27/05/2020 02:52

@georgie279
I do wonder if it's our fault... we've always put her down in our room then moved her into her cot....

Fuck that shit! Honestly you are doing nothing wrong (and you actually sound like a great mum).

Health visitors and midwives and mothers in law say that a baby should eat at X times, and poop at Y times, and need winding/changing at Z times, and sleep at AA times and must sleep in a cot till I'VE RUN OUT OF LETTERS times, but they know fuck all. Every baby is different.

It will get better. The one advice I'd give is to sleep whenever and wherever you can. 20 minutes in the bath, take it. 30 minutes at 11.20 in the morning, take it. 15 minutes in the car, take it.

Fivebyfive2 · 27/05/2020 02:53

Just fed my 5.5 month old. Thankfully he went straight to sleep instead of thinking it was party time... But now I'm wide awake! I'll regret it when he's wide awake at 5am 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Ipadipod · 27/05/2020 02:55

@strawberry2017 hope you’re ok x

Irishgene · 27/05/2020 02:59

@Wincarnis I'm sorry to hear about your friend 💐

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and just cannot sleep, past few nights I've managed 11-1:30 then drop off again at about 5am. I'm hungry now though!

RamblingFar · 27/05/2020 03:10

I had a lesson to teach at 1.30am.

I may go for a nap soon.

Itsacakebaby · 27/05/2020 03:19

Bad stomach cramps and a snooring DH

MarkCorriganForPrimeMinister · 27/05/2020 03:23

I was in bed asleep for 10pm after my first 13 hour shift in a hospital. Back in tomorrow (today!!) at 7. Woke up for a week at 2 am, back in bed now but I’m absolutely parched and may just admit defeat and go down to have a drink and snooze on the settee for a couple of hours before my alarm goes off

Wavingnotdrown1ng · 27/05/2020 03:27

I lost my father at the weekend and have been waking up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night since he became ill. At least I haven’t had to get up early for work recently. Now it means I have to wake up twice and remember every day.

Rosebel · 27/05/2020 04:22

Sorry for those of you going through a rough time but I think things do look worse at night or at least that's when my anxiety kicks in.
Strawberry_I hope you are okay and georgie I'm sure you are a good mum, we all doubt ourselves. My first was a textbook baby. Then I had my second who wasn't! What a shock, kept thinking it was my fault, something I'd done or hadn't done. It wasn't she was just a difficult baby. I understand not leaving her to cry, it's the worst sound when you know you can just cuddle them. I agree sleep when you can and accept any offers of help.
To everyone really hope you all get some sleep. I'm torn between going to sleep now or trying to hold on and sleep well (haha) tonight.
Sorry for your loss Waving.

Pickles89 · 27/05/2020 04:28

I'm awake because I've got total sleep reversal. I've been sleeping in til 1/2pm, and then not dropping off til dawn! It's because of lockdown and not going to work.

I would like to be asleep now but the bloody birds decided 4:20 was Getting Up Time, and if I close my window I'll asphyxiate!

Mummyshark2019 · 27/05/2020 04:31

Yes those bloody birds!!!

Pickles89 · 27/05/2020 04:36

@Mummyshark2019 I mean, come on! 6am, fine, that's their time, it's allowed, but 20 past 4?!!

TokyoSushi · 27/05/2020 04:37

Old meowing cat 🙄

lockdownbird · 27/05/2020 04:40

Been awake since dh got up for work at 2.45am and put his phone torch on to find something Hmm

Can't really blame him as I'm having a terrible time with sleeping since lockdown.
However I have added 50 shows to my personal tv app so plenty to watch now Smile
Also had a very chilled out and slow day yesterday so just not tired out enough I guess

Shortfeet · 27/05/2020 04:42

I’m excited about my weekly Tesco trip

strawberry2017 · 27/05/2020 05:04

@Ipadipod thank you, I'm home now got to go back later for a scan, hoping that it or the swabs taken show something otherwise I don't know what happens next.
Not going to lie it was scary.
