Me? My 4 yr ds has gone to sleep before 4am for the first time in about 8 weeks, I'm enjoying the quiet!!!! I will regret it at 7ish when 11month dd gets up, but did it I've not had more than 3 hrs sleep for 2 months so what difference does it make??

I have been asleep...but I was watching House on my iPad until 12mn. And my dreams have been mostly about long trips in a car .... to a fucking castle!

MeAndHimAndHer · 26/05/2020 04:24

A lull in the constant phone calls ...

Dawn chorus woke me up about 4, I can’t get back to sleep. My sleep is so bad at the minute and I’m back to work again tomorrow, at home, while homeschooling two young children.

AngelaScandal · 26/05/2020 04:38

Breastfeeding my 15m old. Because he wakes every 4 hours and is impossible to night wean

@amymel2016 congratulations and enjoy!

ImNotShpanishImEgyptshun · 26/05/2020 04:41

I'm 39+4 weeks, and the insomnia has kicked in over the last few days. Given up trying to sleep and I'm watching Hollywood on Netflix.

Rosebel · 26/05/2020 04:44

Fell asleep this afternoon for 2 hours and now can't sleep. Not that I do most nights. Is pregnancy insomnia a thing?
Hoping it disappears but then again I'll be up at night when the baby comes anyway

IHeartKingThistle · 26/05/2020 04:44

Went to sleep about 1 but woke up. Keep doing this - waking up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. Have been unwell recently and I think I just have to be awake for a while to convince myself I feel OK enough to sleep again. That makes no sense, I know.

Love hearing about all these tiny babies. Congratulations everyone.

Leicester5 · 26/05/2020 04:55

@IHeartKingThistle are you on the mend now?

Allnamesaregone · 26/05/2020 04:59

Menopausal insomnia and a snoring DH.

jellybe · 26/05/2020 05:02

Insomnia. Took sleeping tablets last night to try and break the cycle but ended up sleeping until 12pm yesterday and now haven't slept all night. Though I have finished my book and done a lot of sewing so not as infuriating as normal.

Sharpandshineyteeth · 26/05/2020 05:03

I think it’s because I’m just not doing much in the day and I don’t need as much sleep.

I was tired at 11pm so went off quite easily but tend to wake up feeling ok about 4am

IHeartKingThistle · 26/05/2020 05:05

@Leicester5 thank you, I'm getting there. Had an ear infection and the antibiotics have triggered my IBS which has triggered panic attacks and so it's hard to tell what's going on half the time. Sometimes wake up with an upset stomach and sometimes wake up worrying about having an upset stomach! It's been going on weeks but I'm a lot better than I was so I'm hopeful. Thanks for asking.

LulusMiniEgg · 26/05/2020 05:10

DS woke me up at 3.45am freaking out about a moth in his bedroom. Was just drifting off when he found more.
Looks like that’s me up for the day now then.... grrrrr.....

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 26/05/2020 05:15

We had a police helicopter circling overhead at 4.30... No chance of being back to sleep now!

Leicester5 · 26/05/2020 05:16

@IHeartKingThistle hope you're not feeling panicky at the moment

theseriousmoonlight · 26/05/2020 05:20

ImNotShpanishImEgyptshun I'm 37+3 and I've avoided insomnia so far. Not like my first pregnancy where I was lucky to get 45 minute stretches of sleep with about 2 hours of being awake in between.

However, weird pregnancy dreams (roller skating in school while eating an entire packet of chocolate digestives...) woke me up at around 4.30am. Had a cup of tea and going to try to sleep again now.

Dita73 · 26/05/2020 05:31

Regular thing lately. Sleeping at the wrong times. Been watching a lot of Come Dine With Me. Where do they find these people?!

Leicester5 · 26/05/2020 05:35

I used to love CDWM, haven't watched it in ages

maldivemoment · 26/05/2020 05:37

Horrific insomnia. Kicked in after I had my children. Lockdown has caused it to go stratospheric. Anyone else have this?
Went to sleep at 11pm. Been awake since 2. 😩

SmileyFaceSadFace · 26/05/2020 05:46

Fell asleep on the sofa from 8:30pm until 10:30pm then took myself off to bed. DH accidentally woke me at 1:44am and I've been awake since then.

Lots to do today and I imagine most won't get done as I'll be too tired now.

HammerToFall · 26/05/2020 06:03

I'm doing a night shift on a&e reception. We are very very quiet. Was expecting a surge after a sunny bank holiday but gladly have been proven wrong.
