A lot of this time has been great and a real eye opener as to how many material things we don’t need. But I’m really struggling now and feel like a treat, money’s tight but I’ve spent way less than usual, so looking for an idea on a bit of a treat. What have you bought that’s made you smile?

I treated myself bigtime and bought a lovely picture by Yvonne Coomber.
I've had my eye on one for nine months now and finally gave in.

@Planetzog have you pierced your own ears before? I’m thinking about a new piercing but can’t decide between triple/triangle lobe, stacked lobe (both with an existing regular lobe hole) or an anti Tragus (which I definitely wouldn’t do myself).

I’ve have just ordered a second Mirabelle necklace from Urban Outfitters sale.
A grecian style flouncy sundress for floating around in the garden when it’s not peeing it down.
Baukjen sale tshirts to upgrade basics I’ve been wearing on repeat.
Flower cookie cutters to make jam tarts I saw on Instagram.
Feeling virtuous at lack of kindle book purchases (just one this lockdown) due to my council finally getting online borrowing so I’ve been enjoying some audiobooks for free.

@LaChatte where did you get the lidded loaf tin from? Does it make a difference over a standard loaf tin?

@21NewNames it's a Mafter Exoglass 40/12cm tin (it was almost 50€ ShockShockShock but also a birthday present, would neverhave bought it under normal circumstances). We live in France so can't really get 'naice' sliced bread as you would in the UK, so it makes a huge difference to getting good big square slices with a nice light even texture that you can make proper toast and sarnies with! The lid means you dont get any unexpected gaping holes anywhere and it also means the crust is a lot thinner and softer, usually the exact opposite of what home bakers are after!

Jemma Sands jewelry. I've wanted some for ages and at last made the order. It took a month to get here (from America) but was definitely worth the wait. I was so happy with my purchase that I attempted to order a ring, but the shipping has gone sky high. Very disappointing but at least I have my necklace and bracelet! 😁

I go to the supermarket and fill my trolley with all the things I want to eat!! It's a naughty little treat that I only usually let myself do once a year, around my birthday. But I very occasionally do it at other times as well!
