To ask what you’ve bought to cheer yourself up

A lot of this time has been great and a real eye opener as to how many material things we don’t need. But I’m really struggling now and feel like a treat, money’s tight but I’ve spent way less than usual, so looking for an idea on a bit of a treat. What have you bought that’s made you smile?

@redwoodmazza - your dh sounds like a PITA. Are you shielded or can you just go to the shop yourself and pick up a few treats etc?

BumDiggy my eldest dd just got her Disruptors delivered yesterday and she is also 😍 she won't wear them outside yet in case they get dirty!

Haven't but what I would buy ...Big house, acres of woodland, an island, a castle several animal sanctuaries, some refuges .....

New bed.
Kids garden toys and pool
A whole load of sweet crap.

You're in power in the UK for 24 hours. What would you bring in/ do more/get rid of? 3 things max

I'm hovering over the "buy" button on an expensive (to me) handbag. I can't be sure if I just want it because I'm fed up . It's a lot more cutesy than my usual style but made me smile when I saw it.

Oh I forgot, I bought a bike!

DH bought me a new handbag - not new but excellent condition and a style I've been after for a while.

A primer made by Nivea. Cheaper than Boots no 7 as brassic due to business not doing well.

Oh and Margaret Atwood's A Handmaids Tale. Not arrived yet but looking forward to getting stuck in with a good novel.

A hammock. Did all the research to make sure I would get the best hammock experience possible. Turns out you need a lot of slack and to lie a bit diagonally, so you want a massive hammock. It was much cheaper than I thought (£20) and a sturdy stand which is easy to disassemble was also not as pricy as I expected (£85).

My 20yo is in it for several hours a day. I do get a look in from time to time!

Tons more lego sets, adult paint by numbers, lorry loads of vegan sweet treats.....oh and an electric bike ready to tackle those hills, once all has eased off....

Fizzysours lol I've murdered so many. These are pretty hardy ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas Zamilfolia) is my favourite it looks great, kenwood, snake plant and golden potted. I've had a rubber plant for a month and that seems happy enough.
