A lot of this time has been great and a real eye opener as to how many material things we don’t need. But I’m really struggling now and feel like a treat, money’s tight but I’ve spent way less than usual, so looking for an idea on a bit of a treat. What have you bought that’s made you smile?

Don't get Lefant. It's great also mops as well as hoovers but I can't get the replacement parts. I emailed the company and they said they will try to send stock to Amazon.

heymammy · 31/05/2020 13:20

@Justasecondnow I eventually chose this one www.amazon.co.uk/Bagotte-Connected-Navigation-Super-Thin-Self-Charging/dp/B083RVK8XF/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&psc=1&keywords=Bagotte+bg700&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE2UFlZRlg1RFdXSjgmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA3NDU4MjgxSUdGT1hBQ0ZFWFNGJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA2MzQ1ODMzMkxOOTBSTlY0MVJLJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1590927031&sr=8-2-spons

Mine is actually the bg700 and was about £50 cheaper but I can't see it for sale anymore.

It's brilliant, I can't tell you how much I love it Grin. It encourages you to keep the floor clear so the robot can do it's stuff, I have mine programmed to run every day at 11am to 1 hour. It does the whole downstairs, even under the couch 🙏

Then, every few days I take it upstairs to my room in the loft and get it to do a clean up there.

I don't used it in the dc rooms at all as they can't be trusted not to have pieces of crap on their floor 😂

I can’t describe how wonderfully comforted you feel when covered by a weighted blanket. (they are recommended to people who are over-stressed, anxious, and have sleep disorders, etc. (Not me thankfully. I just liked the idea of trying one out). You feel as if someone is holding you in their arms. Bliss.

A smart tv. Should have done this a year ago instead of watching prime and netflix on my ipad.

A sandwich toaster. This made me "the best mum on the planet" apparently.

Two reclinable sun loungers, am on my one as i type.

Running clothes as mine stink no matter how much i wash them.

A yellow summery shirt and a tshirt from H&M

MadFerretWoman · 31/05/2020 14:11

Apple Watch, old model and from what I saved not buying other stuff! It is great with the exercise function. I have really improved my stamina and it reminds (bullies) me if I slacken a bit...

Muchtoomuchtodo · 31/05/2020 14:14

Ready planted hanging baskets and some solar powered lights for the garden

Oilyoilyoilgob · 31/05/2020 14:15

For anyone who wants robo hoovers, we got the Bagotte bg700. I was really sceptical but it’s absolutely great, good for daily cat fur/dust/crumbs etc!

Like a poster above said, because you have to have your floor clear it’s really encouraging me to keep tidier in general for it 😀

Stuckinarut79 · 31/05/2020 14:45

@Mummyshark2019 thanks I can find the lite, I want the console so we can all play! Though I think the games work for both so I could get a lite for me until they get back in stock...

Went a bit crazy and got a Tria laser (recommenced from posts here and it is indeed bloody amazing!) as it was in a deal with an eye wrinkle laser for £1.
FOREO UFO face mask gadget thingy, Rio 60 second facial toner. Can you sense a theme? Grin

LikeDuhWhatever · 31/05/2020 14:50

A big box of blood-red in-season strawberries. The smell seduced me.

DKanin · 31/05/2020 15:21

Some toiletries which have really got rid of my acne!
A clip on laptop case to stop it getting scratched
A dressing gown (got my wear out of that!)
A fleece blanket (a lot of use out of that too!)
Some black denim shorts
Slider style slippers

torthecatlady · 31/05/2020 17:21

Garden stuff - Plants, compost, trellis etc.

House stuff - storage baskets for kitchen cupboards, plastic under bed storage boxes, new placemats and a linen runner for the dining table.

Skincare to sort out my lockdown acne which is awful.

An assortment of basic vest tops and camisoles for wearing out in the garden / future summer holidays as after a declutter I've realised that I don't have any.

Carcasonne (board game) for Dh & I.

torthecatlady · 31/05/2020 17:24

Also, a rather expensive Fitbit to embarrass me into getting more active!!

okiedokieme · 31/05/2020 17:24

Alcohol but nothing else, in a temporary rental with no space!

lunar1 · 31/05/2020 17:52

I got the eufy for hardwood floors so it mops as well. If I had to choose between that and most of my closest friends the robot would win 😂 it's currently £260 on Amazon

Tomasinabombadil · 31/05/2020 18:05

I've just purchased a pair of red sparkly Birkenstock Arizona sandals, I love these & they cheer me up. I have a few others in the same style but in subdued navy & brown. Photos attached one taken in the shade & the other in bright sun. Love them....Flowers

Beer 🍻

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 31/05/2020 18:50

What I've bought: Plants. I'm also thinking of planting a couple of silver birch trees, as I love those. Trampoline. Worth its weight in gold. Lovely salt body scrub. More garden furniture. A fire pit. A nutri-bullet blender. Books.

What I wish I'd bought: hot tub!
