Do they expect us to buy the idea that Cummings is some sort of hero dad character Angry

Clavinova · 24/05/2020 17:37

Ah, Boris Johnson mentioned medical reasons [Cummings family] that he didn't want to go into...

FoolsAssassin · 24/05/2020 17:37

It’s like they are trying to gaslight the entire nation.

itsgettingweird · 24/05/2020 17:37

Hero dad? Who ran (drove) 260 miles in case he needed childcare?

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2020 17:37

No, I don't wish anyone dead. Not at all. Please don't write that.
I'm just appalled at how his wriggling out of this flout of the rules by his advisor.
It was wrong. It's so annoying. And upsetting

Fallsballs · 24/05/2020 17:38

I have no swear words left that express how I feel, now that’s a new low.

everythingthelighttouches · 24/05/2020 17:38

And completely ignored....

Figmentofmyimagination · 24/05/2020 17:39

I really hope the guardian has some extra shit now - maybe someone from the police will whistleblow the number plates for the second trip.

SharonasCorona · 24/05/2020 17:39

Ah the vague medical reasons that we are not allowed to know about

NoMoreReluctantCustodians · 24/05/2020 17:39

Pippa Crerar who I hink is maybe a Mirror journalist, stand to be corrected.if wrong has just.quoted BJ.saying DC followed rules. End of story and tweeted "I'm not sure it is though. Is it?"

There must be more to come.

NiknicK · 24/05/2020 17:39

Wow! Some people really need to calm down. I can understand your frustration (just) but to say you’re actually upset, that’s bordering on ridiculous.

madroid · 24/05/2020 17:40

I'm so angry my heart is having palpitations Grin

That bastard. My one comfort in this has been that we were all trying to do our best. And that was/is very hard. My child is risking her life to treat covid patients.

And that fucking pile of lying shite stands in front of the nation and says he acted with integrity.

He wouldn't know integrity if it ran him down in 50 tonne truck.

mbosnz · 24/05/2020 17:40

Poor little kid as human shield. Again.

But neither cummings nor bozo are father of the year material, are they?

Lostvoiced · 24/05/2020 17:41

@NiknicK

Tens of thousands are dead and the PM thinks the rules dont apply to his mates. Yes. People should be upset.

HeIenaDove · 24/05/2020 17:41

I was in the kitchen What did the Oxford Mail ask?

Fallsballs · 24/05/2020 17:41

@NiknicK I am upset. I shat myself the last few weeks incase I got sick and I’d no one to look after my kid because I wasn’t meant to travel.

SharonasCorona · 24/05/2020 17:42

@NoMoreReluctantCustodians it was actually Oliver Dowden who tweeted that yesterday, not BJ.

Notmyrealname855 · 24/05/2020 17:42

Wow at this press briefing.... oh childcare! Oh that wasn’t clear to literally the whole population of the UK for the last few months

Bojo to go with Cummings, they can both clear out for breaking the law.

Are they calling all of us idiots? Calling the witnesses to Cummings’ breach liars?

Some of us have actually been keeping to the lockdown. Others have and really torn up mentally and physically in helping others and working on the front line to their own detriment.

I don’t buy any of what Bojo is selling. It’s not personal, Cummings has broken the law - the Gov is covering for him. He and Bojo need to go.

UnaOfStormhold · 24/05/2020 17:42

I hope that this brings the lot of them down. Clearly Johnson has no idea what integrity means...

Tedgy · 24/05/2020 17:42

I'm struggling to understand 1) how a senior government offical could not get help with childcare in london and 2) why couldn't a family member be driven down to london to assist with childcare, which would have obviously been a lot less risky.

MrsMigginsPie · 24/05/2020 17:42

I feel so appalled by this government. Total gaslighting. Makes me so cross and so sad in equal measures.

ViciousJackdaw · 24/05/2020 17:43

@NiknicK, Nobody is being ridiculous. I'm upset. I'm upset for all the people who died alone. Their loved ones who could not say goodbye. The parents who tied themselves in knots trying to get childcare. All because the rules were followed. To have Cumstain blatantly flout these instructions and for our prime minister (does not deserve capital letters) to defend him is the biggest kick in the teeth. Find some fucking humanity will you.

mbosnz · 24/05/2020 17:43

Wow! Some people really need to calm down. I can understand your frustration (just) but to say you’re actually upset, that’s bordering on ridiculous.

Really? Children have died without their family by their side. NHS staff have not seen their children in weeks. Elderly people on their own have not seen their family in weeks. Because they abided by these stupid fucking cunts 'instructions', and now it turns out these stupid fucking cunts think those 'instructions' only apply to the plebs? Yeah. People are upset.

DrManhattan · 24/05/2020 17:43

Fuck it. Act like a Tory, do what you want
