New thread to continue previous one, hope you don't mind original OP!

Wow this spinning of lies around the contradicting statements Re police response just shows how far Cummings is prepared to go in terms of exerting undue influence.

JamieLeeCurtains · 25/05/2020 16:29

Vasically, Dom's dad called in a favour to keep the press at bay as necessary.

Dom now knows the cat is out of the bag.

The80sweregreat · 25/05/2020 16:30

Shapps said on Marr that his dad spoke to the police about security.

FliesandPies · 25/05/2020 16:30

TBF he actually only needed to isolate for 7 days once he had symptoms

But his son was still on 14 days?

JamieLeeCurtains · 25/05/2020 16:31

Actually I think that police statement is very dangerous for Cummings, and that's why he's late.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:31

Exactly Sophie, dh is struggling to hear as he rattles the charcoal too.
I think plans have changed...

YouTheCat · 25/05/2020 16:31

The isolation period is pretty irrelevant anyway as they just simply should no have been there. The law at the time was, if you displayed symptoms, you isolated in your home - not drove 260 miles and then isolated.

sussexmum · 25/05/2020 16:31

he panicked then, made an idiotic decision. presumably there would have been contingency plans for him to stay at home and someone to look after his kid. we even had a plan on how to self isolate in our home if this happened to us! then he lied about it and has lost public trust. let's see of Boris sacks him. where is he anyway??

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:32

Or rather I wonder. Maybe he's thrown in the towel

itsgettingweird · 25/05/2020 16:32

Flies I think the only thing we know is MW became ill on 27th. Therefore their son did self isolate for that time if you don't count the trip to Durham

AnneKipanki · 25/05/2020 16:32

It’s 4 pm Dom time.

FliesandPies · 25/05/2020 16:33

Fair do's weird

FliesandPies · 25/05/2020 16:33

Not sorry i'm late

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:34

Shut up horns

AnneKipanki · 25/05/2020 16:34

He did say sorry, for being late .

Ulver · 25/05/2020 16:34

He’s going for the sympathy vote.
Private nannies and nurses were available all through lockdown.

Ulver · 25/05/2020 16:35

He’s going to resign.

Haggisfish · 25/05/2020 16:36

I don’t think he will. Ffs

Ulver · 25/05/2020 16:36

He couldn’t bear to leave Boris to run the country with someone else.
He wanted to be at work not caring for his family.

Haggisfish · 25/05/2020 16:36

What a fake faux apology.

Ulver · 25/05/2020 16:36

Oh yes the sympathy card.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:37

Other than sorry I'm late I'm not hearing an apology

Ulver · 25/05/2020 16:37

How is being isolated away from hospitals ok when you think you are seriously ill?

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:37

Oh bollocks. So no 10 couldn't give them a security person.

StealthPolarBear · 25/05/2020 16:38

Ulver maybe the nieces are respiratory consultants as well as borland nannies
