Due to the lockdown, many houses are doing virtual tours.

Who doesn't love Rightmove?

I do a lottery win browse. It's a wonderful way to waste time. I'm debating a move to the country about 5 miles away so the kids could stay in the schools they love. Versus a bigger house where I live which needs work to incorporate the gym/pool complex I would add....

Mytimetogo · 15/05/2020 22:05

Wow, that £25m one is amazing. Imagine how much money you'd need to spend, though.

This would do me.

Private jetty, pool, helipad. A real bargain. Hmm

I dont know why but I immediately think banker or arms dealer when i see this type of place.

pussycatinboots · 15/05/2020 22:09

Sparkle and some ceilings Confused at least if I put down a £2.5m deposit the monthly repayments are under £100k Grin I might need to barter the price down a tad, though.

Mytimetogo · 15/05/2020 22:09

That £44m Church. £44m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautifully done but sad that it's a beautiful old building with all those modern non-essentials. Or am I just old fashioned?

PerfidiousAlbion · 15/05/2020 22:11

@goingoverground please tell us more about the ‘love hotel.’ Sounds rather ... interesting.

Mytimetogo · 15/05/2020 22:33

Check out this one. I read it wrong and thought it was 'only' £10m. It's not, it has 10 bedrooms. It's £30m. Look at the glass wall in picture 59 and 60- what's with all this wanting to show yourself off when you're in the nud if you're rich?

OP posts:
Goldenhedgehogs · 15/05/2020 22:41

That church one is bizarre, there are no cupboards to store shit. Where would you put the random crap that myself and three kids and DH acquire. Or are the super rich better than us mortals at realising if you don't spend all you money on random crap you can afford really really posh housesSmile

Mytimetogo · 15/05/2020 22:42

More throws here. How curious 🤔.

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/67837593

Sorry, this is the one with the glass wall on 59 and 60...

@Goldenhedgehogs maybe the ‘help’ just materialise with all the things you need, so no need for a junk drawer Grin

Doubletrouble99 · 15/05/2020 22:54

Hate the church one, just so corporate, no individual style just like the bizarre Pimlico one, look like they've been designed by footballers!
Love the Sandbanks one, I could definitely live there although the neighbours do overlook the pool more than a bit and I'm not sure about that weird petal style basin!

georgialondon · 15/05/2020 23:02

Ooh the Pimlico one is five minutes walk from me. Not the street I'd choose it seems overpriced but I couldn't get a good look at the floor plan.

NOTANUM · 15/05/2020 23:11

Think of the hoovering people.

Mytimetogo · 15/05/2020 23:14

@perfidious Not a bad price considering the price of some of these others, eh?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 16/05/2020 00:13

Also I like that the station distances are still on there, as if someone with enough cash to buy a £25m house needs to a short walk to the jubilee line.

Also the school catchment areas.

That hotel could be amazing done up.

The church could be a nice B&B.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 16/05/2020 00:33

I want an Art Deco mansion flat and have spent the last two days trawling Right Move to see which one I like best. I'm becoming very picky about balcony sizes though.

I have to keep reminding myself I can't actually afford even the cheapest one. Fantasising is a dangerous thing.

Juanmorebeer · 16/05/2020 00:35

This is what I spend my life doing so the poor people who are actually selling must be like ooh 474 views in the last 24 hours. No sorry that's just me checking back if the alcove is wide enough to fit my wardrobe in.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 16/05/2020 00:45

Don't you think the ridiculously expensive ones often look soulless? I know they've been dressed to sell, and presumably to appeal to the smallish numbers of people who could afford them, but most of them leave me cold.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 16/05/2020 00:49

That 25m terrace though, wow! That would be amazing if properly restored.

CherryValanc · 16/05/2020 00:53

Some questionable interior decorating so far!!

CherryValanc · 16/05/2020 00:59

Thought I'd try out the Midlands. Came across this modest priced place:

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77882965.html

Felt fairly on board for the first 5 picture. Figured I could probably live with it, carpet on 6 well fine, could change that. 7 is just marvellous.

Sparklesocks · 16/05/2020 01:14

@CherryValanc wow pic 7 looks like an actual pub back room!!

Kljnmw3459 · 16/05/2020 01:16

I like to look at properties I could by outright with my savings. I wonder if Port Glasgow is nice?

softjellycell · 16/05/2020 01:32

A glass bath tub is a wonderful thing when not opposite a mirror.
Id look like a sausage waiting for a skin Envy
