Hopefully a bit of an uplifting thread where we can focus on the positives among the many negatives.

I've managed to learn how to do a handstand! I've never in my life been able to do one, even as a child but I can now after many many fails.

Anyone else managed to achieve anything? Small or big

Completely organised my garage and got my cross trainer which I use every morning and my fit bit is showing real progress.

Zomblie · 13/05/2020 20:22

I finally got my Etsy jewellery shop up and running and I've even had a few sales!

resipsa · 13/05/2020 20:27

Completed Couch To 5K on 3 May and run 5K 6 times since then despite never having run before in my life (well, after age 10 or so 😆).

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 13/05/2020 20:30

Learnt how to bake decent gluten free cakes, scones, cookies. Got fitter. Still like my husband and children.

Poetryinaction · 13/05/2020 20:30

I've read a few books
Potty trained the 2 year old
Got the 6 year old to stop bed wetting
Got the 4 year old to go to bed
And got a new job

MsMeNz · 13/05/2020 20:32

Lost 16lb, started a veg patch, home school 3 kids while holding down my job and survived a kidney infection and surgery. Started going for daily hour walks until the kidney thing hit.

Blackcountryexile · 13/05/2020 20:32

Practiced doing nothing and proved that practice makes perfect. In awe of all the high achievers here!

ellanwood · 13/05/2020 20:34

Not a great deal, but I've published a book, including sorting out typesetting and getting a cover designed, which felt satisfying as doing this had been on my bucket list for years. I've run a couple of online courses for clients, studied a couple of online courses, read a stack of books - far more than usual, taught DC how to cook some recipes, discovered loads of new walks in my area and DH and I are finally getting around to redecorating the house. I've also done a lot of stuff for DC, supporting them with various MH issues and practical issues as well as working PT from home.

ellanwood · 13/05/2020 20:36

I am so impressed by the people who have used lockdown time to get fit, lose weight and learn to run.

MarriedToABellend · 13/05/2020 20:39

Finding out who my husband's mistress is and restraining myself from my urges to do something terrible to her, despite her best efforts to wind me up.

Threw my bellend husband out.

Filled 37 bin bags of his shit.

Crying pretty much every single day. Not all day some times just half an hour or so but I don't think I've ever cried every single day for 7 weeks before. So go me.

Have now tried every single flavour cider on the Koppaberg, Old Mout and Rekordlig range.

Been pretty pissed out of my face by 3pm most days.

cheeseychovolate · 13/05/2020 20:40

Getting to the bottom of three laundry baskets Smile

HerRoyalNotness · 13/05/2020 20:41

Potty trained my toddler
Made some cakes which were rubbish, not sure why I bother with baking
Finished a Uni module and started another
kept up with running
Have not put on weight > win for me
Cleaned out one drawer

Pretty much the usual, nothing big or on the to do list

WendelFong · 13/05/2020 20:43

Taught DS to ride his bike without stabilisers, finally got him to sleep in his own bed after 6 years, and discovered a love of gardening!

PenCreed · 13/05/2020 20:45

Improved my fitness (although not my weight)
Baked some new things
Enjoyed having more time to cook dinners, so got more into meal planning
A lot of gardening
Still like my husband
Carried on working and got some stuff done!

Lordfrontpaw · 13/05/2020 20:47

I have refreshed my sign language ( signs become old fashioned just as words do)
I have reread all of my Dickens, DH Lawrence, Adrian Mole Diaries and Miss Read books.
Have repainted the whole house ( a very small house, but non the less...)
Have learned how much wine it takes to make me vomit

taptonaria27 · 13/05/2020 21:02

I've learnt to bake light and airy scones - I'm 51 and my scones have always been like house bricks.
I failed to learn guitar
Have learnt that it's quicker to clean my loos more often rather than doing it weekly
I've lost 10lb
I've enjoyed my dh & kids

dementedma · 13/05/2020 21:09

I have increased my walking from zero to 3-5 miles a day.
Cleared out my knicker drawer and my condiment cupboard...both had a lot of out of date stuff to go in the bin.
Made pancakes, edible ones.
Improved my skin.
Started writing again

Namesgonenow · 13/05/2020 21:12

Taught my 4 year old to read Grin

Clockworkprincess · 13/05/2020 21:23

Demolished an unused shed and revamped the garden, taught myself to make bread and we are now living off homemade. Have taken up dancing again as my ds needed someone to train with and will be continuing after this.

Polkadotpjs · 13/05/2020 21:27

@MarriedToABellend I'm sorry to read that but glad you kicked the dick head out. You've got this. Have some flowers 💐
