Hopefully a bit of an uplifting thread where we can focus on the positives among the many negatives.

I've managed to learn how to do a handstand! I've never in my life been able to do one, even as a child but I can now after many many fails.

Anyone else managed to achieve anything? Small or big

Decluttered the loft. We had tons and tons of old paperwork. Like mobile phone bills from 2004.
Used my Philips Lumea so am pretty hair free now.
Other than that, just trying to survive a hugely stressful job and home schooling.

DoubleFunMum · 13/05/2020 18:55

I have done DIY that's been on my list since we moved in this house 7 years ago. I've really connected with my children, especially their education. I've enjoyed cooking, gardening and really 'stopped to smell the roses'.

FarTooMuchWashing · 13/05/2020 18:57

I’ve drank a bottle of gin and gone up a dress size!

mummabearfourbabybears · 13/05/2020 18:58

I'm actually ridiculously excited by this but . . . I have (had). 19 pine doors in my house that had been stripped by the previous owners. All the other woodwork (skirting and frames) are white. The doors made the hallways look dark. I've white glossed them all and touched up all the skirting and door frames. Then I painted my hall navy blue from a dingy cream. I'm so happy.

Fucktacula · 13/05/2020 19:00

I no longer need to wash my hair every day.

FarTooMuchWashing · 13/05/2020 19:00

Oh dear! For them first time I didn’t rtft before posting.
I have planted some tomatoes and courgettes and beetroot and I’ve worked from home effectively for the first time ever - does that count.
(I’m also halfway through me second bottle of gin Blush)

KatnissMellark · 13/05/2020 19:01

Been doing a lot more running, working on gymnastic skills for when I get back to crossfit, and I'm attempting to learn scottish gaelic

WanderingMilly · 13/05/2020 19:04

Painted and decorated the whole flat...just moved in before lockdown. Unpacked everything, sorted everything, washed everything, decorated everything. Wonderful!
Sadly, despite walks, I have also eaten too much and put on weight. To get it off is my go-back-to-work challenge....

aquashiv · 13/05/2020 19:05

Home schooled three teens.
Worked full time.
Painted anything that didn't move.
Gardened daily not a weed in sight.
Trained a puppy.
Hardly washed dressed and switched off my lap top every evening.

DrDreReturns · 13/05/2020 19:05

Done an IT training course for work (Pluralsight.) Knocked down an old shed in the garden. Done loads of bike rides.

Bluebellpainting · 13/05/2020 19:07

Not very much as OH still working full time and often away from home overnight. I managed to finish knitting a cushion for the nursery I intended to make before DS srriged.
Progressed DS to napping independently in his cot (before lockdown it either had to be me holding him or pushing him in the pram.)
And did the first bit of baking since my son arrived. I had dreamt of using the first few weeks of my maternity leave to bake and knit but he decided to arrive 2 days into maternity leave so it has been nice to at least return to some old hobbies.

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 13/05/2020 19:08

Grown a lot of plants - its the main way I know something about time...

Don't know a single person infected

Fixed my garden gate. Dumped a shit boyfriend.

Equally thrilled with both achievements.
