Currently struggling to find a tidal entrance song which is acceptable and not cringe!

I really like thousand years but worry it will be associated with Twilight!!

AIBU to ask what your bridal entrance song was!

I walked down the aisle to Bob Marley in Jamaica 🇯🇲

MindatWork · 11/05/2020 21:38

I used to work as a wedding singer OP - my fave entrance song I ever learned was Marry Me by Train, closely followed by Soulmates by Grant Nicholas (lead singer of Feeder). Both really special songs with beautiful lyrics.

PhoneLock · 11/05/2020 21:42

I walked down the aisle to the Laurel and Hardy theme.

Or I would have if DH had had his way.

@Flixsfoilball so sorry you've had to postpone. We are due to get married in January but they want all the song details really early!
I'm not sure if we will go ahead as we don't want people being scared to be together if you get what I mean!
I guess only time will tell

Walked in to Into My Arms by Nick Cave and out to There is a Light That Never Goes Out by the Smiths.

Orangelover · 11/05/2020 23:56

I'm getting married next year (covid permitting) and I'm also wanting Cannon in D as my walk in song. Loved it for years! Having a string quartet play for me.

Not quite decided what I want to play for the register signing or walking out yet.

First dance we're having It Had To Be You by Harry connick Jnr.

Love all of these suggestions

Guineapigbridge · 12/05/2020 00:06

Stay with You by John Legend.

But if I had my time again I'd copy JoanofSarc's PERFECT song choices.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 12/05/2020 17:24

We also had Stuck on You by lionel richie when we were signing the register and The first the last my everything by Barry white when we walked out

autumnkate · 12/05/2020 17:32

Blossom by James Taylor... was also considering Queen Bee by Taj Mahal

isthismylifenow · 12/05/2020 17:59

@NowSissyThatWalk that is a stunning choice .

Dowser · 12/05/2020 18:06

Which wedding?
I’ve had three.
I had the wedding March at the first one.

NowSissyThatWalk · 12/05/2020 18:14

Thank you @isthismylifenow ! It's so beautiful.

Coldilox · 12/05/2020 18:18

I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do by Abba

SnaccidentsHappen · 12/05/2020 18:21

When we walked down the aisle my brother played can't help falling in love on his guitar, I can't remember what was played after the service. First dance was stevie wonder - as

Hushabyelullabye · 12/05/2020 18:26

Waiting was Pachelbel's Canon in D, walked down aisle to Entrance of the Queen of Sheba and walked out to La Rejouissance (for Royal Fireworks) both by Handel. All were played by a violin duet.

Our first dance was Savage Garden Truly Madly Deeply, as it had just come out when we met and was constantly played so reminds us of meeting.

We had a final dance which was Metallica and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Nothing Else Matters.

There are songs that will always remind us of getting married as they are on our wedding DVD, U2 Beautiful Day, Stereophonics Have a Nice Day, The Calling Wherever You Will Go and Eva Cassidy You Take My Breath Away for the montage

Nelly325 · 12/05/2020 18:30

Walked in to an instrumental version of your song by Elton John , walked out to here comes the sun by the Beatles . First dance was for once in my life by stevie wonder :)
