Currently struggling to find a tidal entrance song which is acceptable and not cringe!

I really like thousand years but worry it will be associated with Twilight!!

AIBU to ask what your bridal entrance song was!

Walked in to an instrumental version of kissing you by desree and walked out to One day like this by Elbow
First dance was Simon and Garfunkel's bridge over troubled water

NoraEphronsneck · 11/05/2020 16:09

I walked in to a short instrumental version of Time to Say Goodbye, signed register to She by Charles Aznavour and then left to All You need is Love by the Beatles. This was many years before they were 'made famous' by various popular films/singers. I like to think I was ahead of my time.

RoLaren · 11/05/2020 16:10

We walked out to Indiana Jones' Raider's March. My husband is a big fan. He wore the hat, but luckily not the bull whip GrinGrinGrin

hisnameisfreckles · 11/05/2020 16:54

I walked down the aisle to Robbie Williams shes the one.

PurpleTygrrr · 11/05/2020 16:59

I walked down the aisle to 'River flows in you' by Yiruma. Beautiful piano piece x

VerityB1 · 11/05/2020 17:03

I walked down the Aisle to Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance and I think we also had Jerusalem (much to my mum's horror) and Trumpet Voluntary with live trumpeter on the way out (had wanted Tocatta). May have had something like Morning has Broken too. Sorry it's so traditional!

MargotsBumpyNight · 11/05/2020 17:05

I walked down the aisle holding hands with DH-to-be to Ride of the Valkyries Smile

LynseyLou1982 · 11/05/2020 17:10

Well we're both big rock fans. So I walked I to a string quartet version of Everlong by the Foo Fighters and we walked out to I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness. For signing the register we had Metallica and Led Zeppelin. First dance was to Baby I Love You by The Ramones

Zombiemum1946 · 11/05/2020 17:17

Vivaldi four seasons for the church. Stand by me(Ben E King) and Raindrops keep falling on my head (manic street preachers acoustic version) for the dance. I wanted Sam Cooke but dh wasn't keen.

Ohtherewearethen · 11/05/2020 17:30

I walked in to Ar hyd a nos, played by my flautist friend. Another friend played Flowers in the Window by Travis and Nina Simone version of Here Comes The Sun on their guitar during signing. Walked out to Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. Enjoy planning everything for your wedding! Best wishes.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 11/05/2020 17:36

walked out to something a bit different for a church!

okiedokieme · 11/05/2020 18:57

Arrival of the Queen of Sheba - church organ of course. Exit to wedding march by Mendelssohn.

Dd has already picked me music for (if) I remarry, all with mezzo soprano solos, no guessing what she sings!

TheOneWithAnotherNewName · 11/05/2020 19:02

Walked in to Highland Cathedral and out to Mairi's Wedding (both played by a piper).

RoseLavenderBlue · 11/05/2020 19:27

I had made a CD of songs but the hotel’s CD player would not play it, even though it worked fine in the house and in the car, and I only discovered this as I arrived for the ceremony. I had to make do with Il Divo, that someone hastily found in the hotel. However my actual choices were: walking in - Someone like you, Dina Carroll (from Bridget Jones’s Diary); signing register: You say it Best when you say Nothing at all by Alison Krauss; and walking out - How sweet it is to be loved by you by James Taylor. So the moral of the story is to test the music works the day before, don’t just rely on giving them a CD and assuming it will work!

Stuckfornow · 11/05/2020 19:28
