Currently struggling to find a tidal entrance song which is acceptable and not cringe!

I really like thousand years but worry it will be associated with Twilight!!

AIBU to ask what your bridal entrance song was!

Walked in to Bach Wachet Auf
Out to Widor's Toccata
Signed the register to Bach's Air on G string.

goldenslumbers1 · 11/05/2020 13:22

We had two friends playing Beatles songs acoustic guitar during our ceremony.
Walked down the aisle to Something, signed register to Blackbird and left to Here Comes the Sun :)
First dance was Hey Ho by The Lumineers - still gives me goosebumps now :) xx

PlanBea · 11/05/2020 13:22

Walked in to a quartet version of one day like this by Elbow. I thought I'd cry but I kept it together! Walked out to "Marry you" by Bruno Mars for something upbeat.

goldenslumbers1 · 11/05/2020 13:23

*on the acoustic guitar 🙈

SundayShawl · 11/05/2020 13:23

I came in to Procession of the Spirits from Spirited Away and we went out to a piano version of 1000 years that DSD had learned and recorded especially for our wedding

Acrasia · 11/05/2020 13:24

I didn’t have a traditional wedding, so there was no entrance music, but if I had’ve it would have definitely been to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”.

FairfaxAikman · 11/05/2020 13:36

We had the standard here comes the bride but exited to Married Life (the theme tune from the film Up!).

grumpyorange · 11/05/2020 13:38

@FairfaxAikman married life is absolutely beautiful. I've been outvoted on it! I'm trying to squeeze it in for a signing of the register song!

Walked down isle to: Kiss me - Ed Sheeran
Also had Iris - Goo Goo dolls during ceremony too

FairfaxAikman · 11/05/2020 13:44

@grumpyorange
Our whole wedding was loosely themed around the film - balloons are excellent but inexpensive decorations (church and reception including set up was about £200)

20viona · 11/05/2020 13:48

I had the power of love but the Gabriella aplin version. We got married in December so it felt apt.

Zoecarter · 11/05/2020 13:49

I walked down the aisle to some where only we know the lilly Allen cover. We walked out to you’re my best friend by queen.

It’s so hard picking the music good luck.

We had a string quartet. Moon River going in - Breakfast at Tiffany's is my favourite film. My best friend walked me down the aisle and she always associates that song with me. Signed to Something by the Beatles. First dance was Need your love so bad - early Fleetwood Mac version.

peperethecat · 11/05/2020 14:34

I walked in to Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. We had it on the organ but it's really beautiful on the acoustic guitar too.

EuphegeniaDoubtfire · 11/05/2020 14:38

I Touch Myself but the Scala & Kolacny Brothers Choir version so it's not inappropriate.

kb1992 · 11/05/2020 14:54

I had a beautiful acoustic version of a thousand years by the piano guys as my entrance song

LiGlitterBug · 11/05/2020 14:55

@Wtfdidwedo Excellent taste! Grin

Itwontrainallthetime · 11/05/2020 15:00

We had Everything I do by Brian Adams for me to walk into, A moment like this by Kelly Clarkson for signing of the register and Your still the one by Shania Twain on the walk out.

A 1000 years would be perfect

Here4theaibu · 11/05/2020 15:02

I walked in to an instrumental version of Here Comes The Sun by the Beatles. signed the register to I Thought of You by Jeri Southern and The Sweet Fantastic by Ian Brown. Walked out to Silly Love Songs! First dance was I Saw Her Standing There by the Beatles then going in to Electric Love by Børns.

HoomanMoomin · 11/05/2020 15:07

My choice was “Dawn” from Pride & Prejudice 2005. It’s so quiet and beautiful. And not many people will recognise it playing at the wedding, so won’t associate it with anything cringeworthy. Wink

Clevererthanyou · 11/05/2020 15:11

Walked down very short aisle to Everybody’s Free by Quindon Tarver, Then Vivaldi’s Spring played after we signed the register. Our first dance was to Remember Me This Way by Jordan Hill because I loved the film when I was a kid Grin it ended up being quite prophetic as I became disabled after marriage so it’s nice.

tac10 · 11/05/2020 15:11

Another one here who walked down the aisle to Pachelbel Canon in D 😊 as I loved that piece of music and wanted something different!
