To think this woman just embarrassed herself

Just back from a dog-walk. My neighbourhood is very quiet, virtually no cars on the road. A woman comes towards me on a bike, on the pavement, I stand to the side but she brushes my elbow on her way past. She cycles on about 20-30 yards, stops cycling and yells, "FUCKING CUNT!" at me, then wheels her bike into her house. Presumably her neighbours will have heard her. Class. Sorry, just had to vent as it kind of upset me. I know people are having a tough time but there's no need to shout abuse at people in the street.

If I were you I'd be very thankful that you don't live next door to such a charmer.

CheriLittlebottom · 04/05/2020 12:45

She's a charmer isn't she? And why the hell is a grown woman cycling on the pavement?

Reginabambina · 04/05/2020 12:45

She shouldn’t have been on the pavement, clearly not right in the head. Lockdown is getting to people.

NoMorePoliticsPlease · 04/05/2020 12:45

If she is as foul as that I dobt if she is remotely embarrassed. Just go up to her door and take a photo of the door number

FTMF30 · 04/05/2020 12:46

Definitely made a fool of herself. You can't cycle on the pavement and then get mad if a pedestrian is in your way 🙄.

Don't let the current situation excuse her behaviour.

Ballllzac · 04/05/2020 12:47

As PP said, try to be glad that you don’t live next door to her! Horrible thing to happen though OP, hopefully you won’t run in to her again

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 04/05/2020 12:48

Seriously, my first instinct was to walk back up the road to make a note of where she lived but I'm not going to join the madness. Thanks for the support, I honestly didn't contribute but it was horrible all the same.

Disgraceful behaviour and technically warrants reporting to police. Whether you think it's worthy of being reported etc is of course up to you.

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 04/05/2020 12:51

I would never report it because I can see how it happens. I think someone with that short a fuse will get her comeuppance one day anyway.

Well the phrase we know where you live comes to mind. She’s an idiot. Lob a horse’s head on to her doorstep next time you’re passing.

CheriLittlebottom · 04/05/2020 12:52

Seeing as you know where she lives, could you pop a note through her door?

"Are you in need of mental health assistance? Because screaming 'you cunt' at pedestrians who are exactly where they should be while you illegally ride on the pavement suggests you are experiencing difficulties." Grin

I mean, not getting involved is clearly the best option in real life, but it's nice to dream.

JKScot4 · 04/05/2020 12:53

I’d go by another time and shove your poop bag through her door or hang it on her bike 💩

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 04/05/2020 12:55

Are you in need of mental health assistance? I'll remember that for future reference! Grin

Please don’t. Ridiculing people who need mental health assistance is really unkind and makes those who suffer from MH issues feel even more stigmatised than they already are.

Bluntness100 · 04/05/2020 12:58

Honestly you took the best approach op, don’t interact. Anything you said Or did could have escalated it, there is no point with people like this.

Confuzzled123 · 04/05/2020 12:58

There are some very strange people out there. Who knows what issues she has going on in her life though.

Hope you’re ok.

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 04/05/2020 13:03

Isadora I know, don't worry, I would never say that in real life.

CheriLittlebottom · 04/05/2020 13:04

Isa I've been in dire need of mental health assistance (and thankfully got it). I don't find humour about it stigmatising, quite the opposite actually.

LimitIsUp · 04/05/2020 13:05

Don't let it upset you OP, that woman is vile and not worth a second thought

Booboodisney · 04/05/2020 13:08

Absolute twat she sounds. She shouldn’t be on a bike if she can’t cycle on the road. My kid can cycle on the road

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 04/05/2020 13:10

Thanks everyone. Just to be clear, it's not the cycling on the pavement I have an issue with.

TinySleepThief · 04/05/2020 13:11

Oh you must have met the wife of the bloke I saw earlier today who was walking down the middle of the road. When a van turned into the road driving towards him (still about 200 metres away) he started screaming "you utter twat what the fuck are you doing on the road, why are you fucking trying to kill me...".

Me the van driver and a dog walker on the to other side of the road couldn't have rolled our eyea any more if we'd tried. This lockdown is sending some people bloody batshit and hours later I'm still none the wiser as to where he thought the van should have been.... Grin

Mammatino · 04/05/2020 13:14

Lovely, I bet she’s pure class at parties, a real crowd pleaser. Did her bike have stabilisers on it? At least your cunt isn’t attached to a nasty moron though so be grateful. (Sorry for reusing the C word for anyone offended by it).

BearSoFair · 04/05/2020 13:14

OP are you in East London? Just that over the weekend DH had a similar incident, also a woman cycling on the pavement, as she squeezed past him she asked "haven't you heard of coronavirus dickhead?"

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 04/05/2020 13:15

You know where she lives.
You have unlimited dog poo at your disposal.

Do you have any brown paper bags and matches handy?
