Would it be really common to put the trampoline in the front garden ?

I do have enough space in the back BUT the neighbours two doors down used to Moab when the kids sang in it, presumably they were getting wankered on Prosecco in their back garden

Why would you? You'll get every passing drunk havng a go on post lockdown!

ChrissieKeller61 · 03/05/2020 21:16

@Soontobe60 that’s an exceptionally good point

And it would get nicked around here!

littlemeerkat · 03/05/2020 21:18

It'd be very distracting for drivers so for that reason alone it's a really bad idea.

DameXanaduBramble · 03/05/2020 21:21

It looks awful. People I know also have a huge fuck off caravan/truck in their drive along with two cars and a trampoline. It’s such an eyesore.

Incrediblytired · 03/05/2020 21:22

Depends if your garden is fenced in.

Fuss · 03/05/2020 21:25

Could you sink it in the front (or even the back) so it's not as obvious?

ChrissieKeller61 · 03/05/2020 21:26

It’s got a hedge, but yes I can see the kids waving to drivers too ... back to the drawing board then

Common ConfusedGrin

Lynda07 · 03/05/2020 21:32

Is there no room in the back garden? I don't think I'd want my children on display at the front

sourcreamnchives · 03/05/2020 21:34

😂

ViciousJackdaw · 03/05/2020 21:44

Can the DC just be quieter out the back?

Lynda07 · 04/05/2020 02:30

Chrissie, blow what the neighbours two doors down said. Your children are allowed to play in the back garden and kids will be kids, they'll make noise. It's normal. It's not like any of them will be out there 24/7. For goodness sake, it would be dreadful to make them play in the front just because of these people - who presumably never were children!

Don't give in, stick to your guns.

managedmis · 04/05/2020 02:40

Should moab be moan?

managedmis · 04/05/2020 02:41

How can you nick a trampoline? Ours is 12ft

Not a stealth boast, we live abroad, stuff is cheap

1forAll74 · 04/05/2020 03:06

I suppose it would look ok in the front garden of Sandringham, but not on what's called a normal street.

Littleposh · 04/05/2020 03:06

Common?? Does it really matter??

Just do what makes your life easier

santababby · 04/05/2020 03:07

Common??

Reginabambina · 04/05/2020 03:09

It’s common to care.

SD1978 · 04/05/2020 03:30

One would assume your children will make the same amount of noise front or back? Im unsure the neighbours issue- your children were singing on it?

ArriettyJones · 04/05/2020 03:40

Is “sing” a typo?

If they’re singing (or yelling or screaming) on it, make it a rule not to. Also oil it. The sound of dozens of squeaky spring flexing relentlessly is such a grating noise when you’re trying to relax in the garden, only equalled by a football hitting the party fence over and over and over again.

If you teach the DC to keep the noise down, nobody will have anything to complain about.

DerbyshireGirly · 04/05/2020 03:48

Not common as long as you also have an old sofa and washing machine out there. Bonus points for sitting outside in your dressing gown talking to neighbours (from a safe distance, of course).

Hopkinsscar · 04/05/2020 03:49

How can you nick a trampoline?

Lift it and go!

Swingingontheswing · 04/05/2020 03:59

Can you hide the trampoline from passers by? Do you have a big garden? Is the garden enclosed? Surrounded by trees or a high hedge? If so, I think it would be fine in the front garden tbh. Nobody would really see it, Are your children are old enough to be trusted not to go outside the gate?

My garden is the exact opposite of the above so it wouldn't be a possibility for us.

browzingss · 04/05/2020 05:47

High wind may cause your trampoline to damage other’s belongings, imagine the moaning if it flies into neighbour 2 doors down’s car??
