Would it be really common to put the trampoline in the front garden ?

I do have enough space in the back BUT the neighbours two doors down used to Moab when the kids sang in it, presumably they were getting wankered on Prosecco in their back garden

Yes very common , don't worry about the neighbours your children have every right to use there garden ! Unless your letting them out before 8.30/9am then your fine x

People are so bloody miserable. My DP and I live in a mid-terrace house and either side are houses with young kids and trampolines. We hear them outside constantly on it, or playing football, and so what? It's their gardens and they are just kids playing! People are so moody.

@poshme I have had to take some Valium just imagine that Grin

There’s a house down the road from us, which has been down up beautifully - they have a trampoline in the front garden, which isn’t that deep. It’s weird to see the kids bouncing up and down in front of the house, especially as they have a back garden.

Just make sure you regularly oil the springs. Our next door neighbors don't and the constant squeak is really really irritating. I love hearing the kids laughing and joking but seriously considering a midnight trip over the fence with a can of WD-40!!

Someone near me has put an absolutely ginormous one on their drive - and when I mean big it's the biggest one I've ever seen - must have cost hundreds if not thousands. Takes up the whole drive 3 cars wide

I think It's pretty "common" to be honest and I feel really sorry for their attached neighbours having that eyesore visible from their front windows

NerdImmunity · 04/05/2020 12:13

Please don't. It's very common and also totally impractical. If you have space in the back then you put it in the back.

poshme · 04/05/2020 12:29

Why is it impractical? If that's where you have space, why not?

I really don't understand.

And all the people saying it might blow away- all trampoline should be secure- no matter where they are.

And like I said- I'm proper posh, and mine is in my front garden.

(Impossible to put a trampoline in our back garden)

@Hedgehog44 sorry. Grin

Back garden. Get your kids to be reasonably quiet if they want to use it.

Swingingontheswing · 04/05/2020 12:38

It depends on the house and garden surely?

I have a postage stamp of a garden and live in a cul de sac surrounded by other houses. A trampoline would be more of a nuisance and eyesore out in the front.

A friend of mine lives in the countryside. Her back and front gardens are both huge. They use the back garden a lot and leave doors open and eat outside. Their trampoline is tucked into a corner in the front. It can be seen by people passing and heard by neighbours. Their set up is perfect.

What difference does it make if it's in the front or back garden? I wouldn't care what the neighbours think. Why is it an eyesore, or more of an eyesore in the front garden?
I would do it but obviously don't let your children make a sound because according to most on here that's unacceptable.
