To ask what you really really want now that you can't have it!

I probably have a McDonalds meal maybe 2 to 3 times per year (usually when we are on holiday). So the chances are I wouldn't have had one in the past 6 weeks anyway. But all I can think about is how much I want a Big Mac. In normal life, I drive past a McDonalds or 2 most times a day, and they barely even register. Now, as soon as I spot that big yellow M, I just start salivating. Is it because they are closed and I know I can't have one?

So I was wondering what other things people aren't normally that fussed about, but really really want now that they can't have them!!

Yes a big mac, something I would only ever have about once a year usually.

And I would really like to get back to work too !

EdinaMonsoon · 03/05/2020 17:07

I want to have a cup of tea with my sister and a good catch up and my god, a proper fat squashy hug. Is that tragic? Such a simple thing. I know that we can chat via whatever method but it's never the same as face to face, is it?

thebear1 · 03/05/2020 17:08

I don't work Friday afternoons. Dh and dc are all out of the house and I spend 2 hours of bliss drinking tea and watching real housewives. Now they are here all the time I can't do it and really miss it. I also want a chippy tea.

To travel! This year was meant to be a year of adventure, we were heading off in our camper as a family for at least three months. I know we are still lucky to be where we are and that we currently all have our health but I’m still gutted.

EsmeShelby · 03/05/2020 17:17

I miss having time to myself. I would like to just wander round the shops by myself. Have lunch and then go to the cinema.

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 03/05/2020 17:18

A swim
A cappuccino
A g&t in a bar
Catch up with my friends

1forAll74 · 03/05/2020 17:19

I never eat fast food at all, can't understand why people get the urge to eat Macdonalds stuff, or KFC stuff, and all the rest etc.. I am only waiting to go to a good garden centre, to purchase some new plants and shrubs. It is always a happy and pleasurable time for me.

daisy112 · 03/05/2020 17:25

To sit in Costa and have a decent coffee in peace

Glitterbug76 · 03/05/2020 17:29

Peacenquiet2 · 03/05/2020 17:30

Just time alone, in my own house, for a few hours, bliss

yearinyearout · 03/05/2020 17:32

StarShapedWindow · 03/05/2020 17:41

To take my family to Five Guys and to go for a walk along the coast

AlviesMam · 03/05/2020 17:42

I need a Big Mac in my life Grin

iklboo · 03/05/2020 17:48

Chips & gravy from my favourite Chinese chippy. It's heaven in a tray.

Terralee · 03/05/2020 17:50

A hug off my mum & dad. And to give my Auntie a hug as my uncle has just died.

Namechangex10000 · 03/05/2020 17:56

McDonald’s, wander around the shops, lakeside, I miss lakeside so much! I’ve already told the kids when it re-opens I’ll be off out to buy a feast from both McDonald’s and kfc, it’s ridiculous really 🤦🏻‍♀️ I can’t wait to go to the pub either!

Notyourmumma · 03/05/2020 17:59

I'd like an adult cuddle 😉 also to stop at costa on my way to work for a large mocha and have my music blasting singing away to old school r&b.

Rosebel · 03/05/2020 18:09

To see my mum and dad.
To have a cooked breakfast at a cafe. We always do this on my husbands birthday and obviously couldn't this year and been craving one ever since.
To be able to take my children swimming. They love it and so do I but don't think it'll happen soon.
To go to the supermarket without queuing

snappycamper · 03/05/2020 18:11

I want 10 minutes of absolute silence.

My family are driving me absolutely fucking mental and have been all weekend. I want them all to shut the fuck up.

CastleCrasher · 03/05/2020 18:17

Quiet. I want to go somewhere, maybe to a mountain, and climb it, hearing nothing but nature. I love my DC, but God, the noise!!!

A day off. I want to take a day off work, mooch around town with DH, have a lovely lunch somewhere and go to the cinema. We're both fantasising about that.

A "normal" day at work - where I'm not working at least 50% extra due to CV, while teaching dc1 and entertaining dc2.

Any meal in any restaurant. Anything I haven't had to plan, cook and tidy up after. Something the DC wouldn't eat.

TheRealSlamShady · 03/05/2020 18:19

A carvery at my local as I'm sick of cooking! Washed down with a nice Jack Rabbit that you don't seem to be able to buy anywhere apart from pubs!

TheRealSlamShady · 03/05/2020 18:21

And my Aero chocolate that I was saving that some fucker has eaten Angry

totallyyesno · 03/05/2020 18:23

Tomorrow I get my first cappuccino after a 2 month wait - yippee!

Springcatkin · 03/05/2020 18:24

Gregg's or MacD breakfast, fish and chips from the local chippie and a Chinese for supper

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/05/2020 18:25

Never had a Big Mac..think I'd customise it to much. Plain double cheese burger however with extra cheese..could do with that!

Seeing friends and just being around other people.
Having a mooch round the clothes shops
To get on a plane and go anywhere!
