I probably have a McDonalds meal maybe 2 to 3 times per year (usually when we are on holiday). So the chances are I wouldn't have had one in the past 6 weeks anyway. But all I can think about is how much I want a Big Mac. In normal life, I drive past a McDonalds or 2 most times a day, and they barely even register. Now, as soon as I spot that big yellow M, I just start salivating. Is it because they are closed and I know I can't have one?

So I was wondering what other things people aren't normally that fussed about, but really really want now that they can't have them!!

Really want to go OUT for a nice meal! You know, proper restaurant, food you can’t cook yourself at home type meal. We do it a few times a year maybe but at the moment I’m just salivating at the thought of it! Think it’s all the food inspo on social media. Can’t wait!

Time alone in silence.

Insideimsprinting · 03/05/2020 12:15

I miss being able to just pop to the shops as you now have to factor in the queue outside.
I miss the quiet of my runs and dog walks, before lockdown I could have complete peace and quiet not seeing a sole which I ind helps calm me from a busy family life. Now during lockdown there's people everywhere as they can't get to gyms, classes, swimming etc. I really miss the complete solitude, it was one of the rare times I got it and I have to share it now. Its just not the same.

I'd like to drive somewhere different for a run. I can run from my front door very easily, but I would like to go 10-20 minutes down the road to run in different places.

I usually swim once a week but I don't love it and I am not missing it.

I do parkrun once a week but have discovered group bike rides on Zwift so I'm not bothered about that now, either.

I am gradually getting used to running on my own although I am slow and sluggish so I'm not even that sure I will rush back to club runs when they are allowed.

I want to see my mum and I would like to go on a group bike ride.

I miss the lovely long train ride. It was always a nice quiet, new train and I always got a table seat. I'd take a coffee and the timing was just right for a WhatsApp chat with close friend living in Australia Blimey how on earth did you keep such a good connection? On SWR the wifi is rubbish and if you use 4G it's not much better (in fact I think their wifi runs off 4G).

I want to go home. We are stranded near the Spanish border in a French holiday let. Been here 6 weeks now and I've had enough. We can't get across the border as we don't have the right document. My kids are going slightly crazy, not having there stuff . We only have winter clothes and it's getting quite warm here now . And it's bloody expensive having to pay for two properties . I hate this situation 😠
