For me, it's 'and rightly so'. It sounds so bloody sanctimonious and grammatically it just feels wrong! 😡

Batshittery · 01/05/2020 15:47

that YOU Sharon - doh

Ahundredpercentthatbitch · 01/05/2020 15:51

"...and I say this as someone who..."

I can't explain why, but this expression winds me up so much.

The80sweregreat · 01/05/2020 15:53

'Boils my piss! ' It's a horrible expression.
(Oddly enough the C word bothers me less written down and that is a nasty word. )

blueheaven97 · 01/05/2020 15:56

The dismissive "I wish that was all I had to worry about" or "I wish I had your problems".

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 01/05/2020 15:56

"Think" when used in a specific context.

"My OH has a hobby, think Cycling..."

GoofyLuce · 01/05/2020 15:57

Don't do the 'pick me dance'

Ducks in a row

Oh and this Biscuit I use this 🖕

Cam2020 · 01/05/2020 15:58

Naice. Angry

cacaca · 01/05/2020 16:00

D anything - especially DDog. It’s hardly an abbreviation. exdh/exdh - if they’re an ex why the D?

Cam2020 · 01/05/2020 16:02

When attributing fictious names to people to protect their identity: 'let's call her xyz'. Hate it!

Cam2020 · 01/05/2020 16:03

@cacaca perhaps the D in the case of exes stands for 'dickhead'? Grin

YgritteSnow · 01/05/2020 16:09

"MIL/FIL/DH/SD/DIL whoever has form for..." whatever the complaint is, they've always got form for it, just to make sure the OP gets the answers they want and not a drubbing for their petty complaint that MIL held the baby too long.

Abitofalark · 01/05/2020 16:21

If letters that aren't words can count as catchphrases. From today, for example: AFAB, and on this thread, AAVE.

Brefugee · 01/05/2020 16:28

what the heck is "fanny gallop" anyway?

"picky bits" drives me mad

PureedSocksAndPants · 01/05/2020 16:29

Sigh
Yawn

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 01/05/2020 16:30

what the heck is "fanny gallop" anyway?

I assumed it was the female equivalent of a men's erection? Getting moist in the gusset?
I usually see it used when referring to men that some find attractive like Tom Hardy, Chris Hemsworth, etc

ThankyouPeter · 01/05/2020 16:36

"I couldn't get worked up about this"

I don't know why but that one really gets me worked up!

Abitofalark · 01/05/2020 16:37

'Trust me.'

Don't know what a fanny gallop is either. It's a weird thing to post.

Quarantimespringclean · 01/05/2020 16:39

Tearing someone a new one. So vulgar.

bathsh3ba · 01/05/2020 16:42

Agreeing with so many of these ... thank you all for the laughs, I needed them today! Flowers

OP posts:
LolaSmiles · 01/05/2020 16:48

OP this was a brilliant thread idea. I'm appreciating the laughs.
Grin

Can I add 'nest of vipers', especially after someone has been really unreasonable, argued with anyone who disagrees and then flounces saying 'i knew I shouldn't have asked on here because it's a nest of vipers'.

bathsh3ba · 01/05/2020 16:50

Also 'just that really'. Are you really that inarticulate that you can't find another way of summarising your thread title? Not to mention that the thread usually then goes on to give much more detail...

OP posts:
CooperLooper · 01/05/2020 16:52

'IYSWIM' winds me up every time I read it 🤬 no I don't fucking see what you mean you plonker stop iyswim-ing all the time

oldperson1 · 01/05/2020 16:53

Aaw hun

TKAAHUARTG · 01/05/2020 16:55

“He’s a good husband and dad, but....”
He never cooks, or cleans, or changes a nappy, and he gets jealous if I go on a night out.
Yeah he’s a fucking gem.

SneakersandSocks · 01/05/2020 16:56

I’m new here so not come across any fanny gallopers or boiling piss yet
