For me, it's 'and rightly so'. It sounds so bloody sanctimonious and grammatically it just feels wrong! 😡

OP posts:
missmouse101 · 01/05/2020 13:37

"Should hang his head in shame ". Well what good will that bloody do?

FudgeBrownie2019 · 01/05/2020 13:38

Head tilt - not one person in real life ever responds successfully to a situation with a head tilt.

Tinkly laugh - again, nobody would ever deliberately give a tinkly laugh. You laugh the laugh you're given and get on with it.

No? Any sentence ending like this is the sentence of a universally-renowned arsehole. If people spoke that way in real life there'd be far more throat-punching occurring.

ODFOD. It's not acceptable. At all.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 01/05/2020 13:42

"Did you mean to be so rude?"

Yeh I fucking did.

I'd forgotten this but absolutely. If I'm being rude, I absolutely know I'm being rude and if you're foolish enough to ask me if it was intentional I'm going to be rude enough to openly admit the rudeness and stare at you til you feel quite, quite uncomfortable.

CalishataFolkart · 01/05/2020 13:48

“You do realise [fact I am fervently praying you don’t realise so I can look clever] don’t you?”

CalishataFolkart · 01/05/2020 13:50

Also any variant on “I’ll try and keep this brief” makes me immediately scroll down to check whether they have in fact kept it brief. They usually haven’t by a good margin.

BeyOnceBeyTwice · 01/05/2020 13:51

'Reader: I married him'
Fuck off

Clogsaregreat · 01/05/2020 13:53

As people mentioned before; "my DH just commented and says..."
'Me and DH were just talking about this earlier'
DH and I watched it and we both thought'
Just speak for yourself.

WaterIsWide · 01/05/2020 13:55

Fanjo meaning fanny. Or worse still, vag. Short for vagina. Oh and has been mentioned sanpro being short for sanitary protection.

Agree with give your head a wobble. What does that even mean ?

Sonichu · 01/05/2020 13:58

Oh and "fanny gallops" is cringe inducing. Please stop.

"Food the gods" which is usually used to describe spaghetti hoops on toast. The opposite of this is "healthy, home cooked meals" which are always served with a "HUGE salad". Eat s cheeseburger and relax you smug prick.

Theworldisfullofgs · 01/05/2020 14:00

Are you on glue?

Mucklowe · 01/05/2020 14:02

"Transwomen ARE women".

They're not!

RoosterPie · 01/05/2020 14:02

“Interesting first post OP”

WaterIsWide · 01/05/2020 14:04

'I didn't want to read and run'. Seems to mean, 'I haven't any useful advice for you, but I want you to think I care.'

It's a form of placemarking

HarlanWillYouStopNamingNuts · 01/05/2020 14:04

"Jetting off" on holiday. Usually used in the context of people taking (in the poster's opinion) too many holidays, killing the planet, ruining our children's futures, etc etc.

Port1aCastis · 01/05/2020 14:04

Grin @ eat a cheeseburger you smug prick

Sonichu · 01/05/2020 14:06

Food OF the Gods even. Christ this thread is getting me so riled up I can't even type properly. I better give my head a wobble...

DeadButDelicious · 01/05/2020 14:07

Unhinged.

sneakythecat71 · 01/05/2020 14:10

'My ex did this, that's why he's an ex' Just implies you're stupid for not leaving and they're not.

sneakythecat71 · 01/05/2020 14:13

So many people seem to spit their coffee out all over the place too!

17million · 01/05/2020 14:18

'hold their feet to the fire'
'throw (whatever and whomever) under the bus ' - very 'woke'
'hold them to account'
'sh**storm'
all applied to certain factions/parties in the current situation. Adds nothing to the thread and irritates me immensely.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 01/05/2020 14:19

In my defence, you bunch of Buttmonkeys, I've been using made up swears since Bottom was on the telly. 😝

Youtrustthefridge · 01/05/2020 14:20

ED/999/Dr - NOW!!

Warsawa31 · 01/05/2020 14:25

People trying to derail a thread by jumping on anything they consider to be remotely racist/sexist/transphobic etc. They score woke points in their
own head everyone else just cringes
