For me, it's 'and rightly so'. It sounds so bloody sanctimonious and grammatically it just feels wrong! 😡

OP posts:
Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 01/05/2020 12:51

"Bore off"

"Is this a thing now"

Lauren83 · 01/05/2020 12:51

Sanpro
No is a full sentence
'And what did they say when you told them?'
Ducks in a row

EllaAlright · 01/05/2020 12:54

‘Eleventy Billion’. It’s not big, smart or clever!

Samdwoman · 01/05/2020 12:54

“Give your head a wobble”

“Fuck off to the far side of fuck blah blah blah ... “ nobody talks like this in real life and if they did they would sound and look ridiculous.

“Grabby” hate that.

SunnyDaysMakeMeFeelBetter · 01/05/2020 12:55

That bloody stupid biscuit!

Ragwort · 01/05/2020 12:55

Not exactly an expression but the phrase ‘and I’m expecting baby 2/3/4’ in some long post about how unhelpful their DH is around the house. Why, why do women have babies with such useless dicks and expect them to change?

But if you dare write that in a post someone else will leap in and say ‘it’s a bit late to make that comment’, well, yes it is but it might make some one else think twice.

sausagepastapot · 01/05/2020 12:56

The fucking 'ducks in a row'. I absolutely hate it. Who the fuck says that in real life? Knobheads that's who.

JazzyTheDog · 01/05/2020 12:57

“Grow up.”

A widely used retort when a poster disagrees with another, I find it eye rollingly limp.

PawPawNoodle · 01/05/2020 13:01

Oh, oh! Another one.

There's a influx of people "politely asking" something of someone, or "calmly" doing things usually with the other person reacting very aggressively. "I calmly approached my husband and politely asked him to stop breathing so frequently as it was really annoying me and he told me to fuck off".

I highly doubt you were polite or calm about it.

Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal · 01/05/2020 13:05

So many:

  1. any sort of weird insult (cockwomble ect) I imagine the person who uses this describes them self as soooo crazy! Everyone think they are crazy!! When in reality they are just annoying.
  2. are you on glue?
  3. Tinkly head laugh
  4. naice
Queenoftheashes · 01/05/2020 13:07

Put on your big girl pants.
So crass and patronising. I agree with the head wobbling as well; ridiculous thing to say.

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/05/2020 13:09

"I have found my people"

99.9% used when every poster on the thread is being a total twat.

Port1aCastis · 01/05/2020 13:10

Mn Royalty
Oh FFS this is a website there is no royalty, so what if you have been joined up here for X number of years yep me too but there are no prizes for it or no medals given

MagnificentMillie · 01/05/2020 13:15

Lawyer here

merryhouse · 01/05/2020 13:19

but but but cockwomble and wankpuffin are swearing! They're just swearwords with an added layer of ridicule, indicating not only that the person in question is an infuriating git but also that the speaker is rolling her eyes at them (and probably realising that she shouldn't let it get her so annoyed).

"moist is a dreadful word"

zigaziga · 01/05/2020 13:20

“Each to their own”

MagnificentMillie · 01/05/2020 13:20

Spendy

1forAll74 · 01/05/2020 13:21

Ducks in a row, I have a few duck garden ornaments, and they are never in a row !

Washyourhandsyoufilthyanimal · 01/05/2020 13:24

@merryhouse those “cutesy” insults are just awful. Just use proper swear words. Like dickhead. Honestly it makes you look ridiculous. I cringe every time I read it and imagine the poster laughing at how hilarious they are.

ChristinaW16 · 01/05/2020 13:29

"What fresh hell is this?"

It's not original, clever or funny.

redwoodmazza · 01/05/2020 13:30

Would 'OF'!!!!!!! It's HAVE!!!

TinRoofRusty · 01/05/2020 13:32

'So much for be kind/the bekind movement'

RonObvious · 01/05/2020 13:33

"Are you on glue?" It wasn't even that funny in the original thread.

" here"...yes, I know it is probably just a quick way of announcing why your opinion is relevant, but my Mum says it all of the time, and seriously irritates me.

Wolfgirrl · 01/05/2020 13:34

'Oh do' as in 'oh do fuck off'.

It's so twee and annoying, the sort of thing I imagine being said in a warbling voice after too many glasses of wine.

Sonichu · 01/05/2020 13:35

"Did you mean to be so rude?"

Yeh I fucking did.
