I honestly don't know. Possibly a beach in Bali.

Most of Iceland, including the Northern Lights.

Warsawa31 · 30/04/2020 08:26

The view from halfway up scarfell pike in Lake District :) just breathtaking truly

IndieTara · 30/04/2020 08:26

The view from the top of Table Mountain
Niagara Falls in December amongst the ice and snow
The first time I saw the Pyramids and Sphinx
Looking out from a beach in Zante to Kefalonia in the distance
The stars in the Sinai Desert and the mountain terrain at sunset
So Many to chose from!

Dumbie · 30/04/2020 08:26

So much beauty along the inca trail, it changes constantly and abruptly.

sashh · 30/04/2020 08:27

Another was seeing the full circle rainbow out of a plane window (but being unable to photograph it because of the angle)|

I've seen a double rainbow from a plane, fab aren't they?

Sunset at Wedge Island in Western Australia is my number one I think. Then there was a day I took pic of the sky in Digbeth, such a contrast between ugly buildings and a beautiful sky.

FakeFraudSquad · 30/04/2020 08:28

I’m another that was really disappointed by Niagara Falls!

The two that stand out for me are flying into Mauritius as the sun was coming up. Spectacular.

And the views from Big Sur on the Pacific Coast Highway in California. Totally breathtaking.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 30/04/2020 08:29

Yes to Lake Attilan- I can’t believe I forgot that. I was backpacking & went horse riding through the villages with another tourist. Breathtaking.

But for me if I had to pick one place to go back to it would always be Iguazu with Tulum close behind.

For those of you who’ve been to Niagara but haven’t been to Iguazu, if you ever get the chance just go. You’ll wonder what all the fuss about Niagara was about.

Seeline · 30/04/2020 08:31

Anywhere in Iceland!

Walking up Mt Etna

But probably the one that has stayed in my memory the longest (nearly 40 years) - sunset over Rhosilli Bay, Gower, and then watching the clear night sky from there and see a shooting star - magical 🌠

bettybattenburg · 30/04/2020 08:34

Then there was a day I took pic of the sky in Digbeth, such a contrast between ugly buildings and a beautiful sky.

If there was one place I had to say would not be mentioned on a thread like this it would be Digbeth, it just shows that beauty can be found everywhere.

eaglejulesk · 30/04/2020 08:37

The Southern Alps in the South Island of NZ, not to mention the southern lakes.

Yes to the west coast of Scotland.

Defender90 · 30/04/2020 08:48

Either driving into as the sun was going down, or being there for the sun rising, Monument Valley.

What is the most spectacular view you've ever seen in your whole life?
zscaler · 30/04/2020 08:54

Can’t pick just one!

Yosemite from tunnel view

Victoria Falls in full flow

Plettenburg bay from a skydive

Glen Coe

The Black Cuillins

fourquenelles · 30/04/2020 08:56

Flying in a tiny plane from Lusaka to Livingstone over a flat plain when from a long crack in the Earth in the distance "smoke" rises from Victoria Falls. Incredible.

violetbunny · 30/04/2020 08:59

Angkor Wat at sunrise.

Rockbird · 30/04/2020 09:01

Crossing the Atlantic by ship. Nothing but water as far as the eye can see for days on end. Very surreal, I spent hours just looking at it when I was trying not to vomit unfortunately

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 30/04/2020 09:02

The bottom of my washing basket.

Had to go for a lie down to recover from the emotion of it all. 😪

StampMc · 30/04/2020 09:06

The Quiraing - Skye

Mysterian · 30/04/2020 09:14

The whole Glen Coe area.

Balnakeil Beach near Durness. My first thought when I got a good big view was "photoshop!". Quite how I thought that would work in real life I don't know.

The Pyrenees. Flying over on my first ever trip on a plane.

SerenDippitty · 30/04/2020 09:17

Iguazu falls. Niagara was a ‘is this it?’, after iguazu nothing compares.

@CanIHaveAPenguinPleas I agree, I first saw Iguazu Falls in the film The Mission. I thought “I have got to go there”. Then when I got there I thought “I can die happy now”.

Boobahs · 30/04/2020 09:19

@WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo Now THERE'S a sight I'd love to see!

Havanananana · 30/04/2020 09:20

Snow-capped mountains seen from the top of Schattberg or Kohlmais in Saalbach, Austria. Similar views from Schmittenhohe in Zell am See, but with a huge blue lake at the bottom.

West coast of Denmark - miles of empty sandy beaches and rolling dunes. Spectacular sunsets too.

View from the Vancouver Lookout Tower - big sky, Pacific Ocean, mountains, city etc all in one view. Worth doing on a clear day and again at night.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/04/2020 09:23

The view of the Cuillin mountains from Elgol, Skye.
The mountains rear straight up from the sea loch and it just makes your soul sing

I keep trying to see that fucking view. Every time the clouds roll in and all we see is rain.

boymum9 · 30/04/2020 09:32

Yosemite national park, amazing!
I also went on a week long school trip to the Isle of Arran off the coast of Scotland about 15 years ago and some of the views were incredible, I've wanted to go back to Scotland somewhere ever since
