I honestly don't know. Possibly a beach in Bali.

Most of Nepal.

malificent7 · 30/04/2020 18:50

Pokhara in particular.

Baby turtles hatching on the beach in Costa Rica to the backdrop of the most incredible sunset I've ever seen.

Early morning mist over the edge of Grand Canyon where we'd just spent the night in a log cabin. Back in the 60s and there was only a rail at the edge.

Visitor accommodation is now completely different.

RiftGibbon · 30/04/2020 18:59

The milky way from the middle of the outback near Alice Springs.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 30/04/2020 19:00

The Cape of Good Hope, where the two oceans collide. It was breathtaking.

Nosuchluck · 30/04/2020 19:02

Oh yes I agree with The Cape of Good Hope.

Darbs76 · 30/04/2020 19:03

Probably the Amalfi coast in Italy. Stunning

oldwhyno · 30/04/2020 19:04

the first inch of my first born appearing into the world

Darbs76 · 30/04/2020 19:05

Oh I forgot the northern lights - stunning too and some amazing views in Iceland. Luckily went just before coronavirus hit the UK

Kiwiskiwi92 · 30/04/2020 19:06

@Downunderduchess I’m trying to figure out what hotel you stayed in. I’m thinking Edgewater but very zoomed in...

Windyatthebeach · 30/04/2020 19:07

For you Almostfifty - last Thursday...
Guess where??

The Grand Canyon - on the back of a mule heading down to the bottom!

The first sight of NYC when the twin towers were still there.

Passportpacked · 30/04/2020 19:09

The migration in the Masai Mara

GrouchyKiwi · 30/04/2020 19:13

@bettybattenburg That photo gave me an enormous rush of homesickness and I might have cried a little bit.

Charmatt · 30/04/2020 19:27

The view from Kildonan on Arran out to Ailsa Craig
From Elgol over to Loch Coruisk
Torrin driving round the bay, both on Isle of Skye
The view as you approach the Isle of Rum - Kinloch Castle coming into view
The approach to Iona
Point of Ness, Isle of Lewis
The approach to Stornoway Airport
Looking over Bosta Beach to the Atlantic on Great Benera
The beach opposite the airport on Barra
Glen Coe

I love all of these views, breath-taking, vast and wild. However, I've always wanted to go to St Kilda and we saw it from North Uist last year. It's 40 miles away but it rose up from the horizon as the skies cleared and it made me cry because it was so amazing.

bettybattenburg · 30/04/2020 20:23

@GrouchyKiwi sorry about that...I won't post any more.

GrouchyKiwi · 30/04/2020 20:25

Ah, betty, you should post all the photos!

IdblowJonSnow · 30/04/2020 20:29

The salt flats in Bolivia. It's like being on another planet.

BikeRunSki · 30/04/2020 20:32

About a week into lockdown, the dark, dark night sky and the bright, bright stars from a hill above my village, DD and I stood up there fir ages stargazing.

bunsnroses1 · 30/04/2020 20:36

Saturn through a telescope. Left me speechless for a few seconds.

Alexsay · 30/04/2020 20:43

Northern India towards the border with Pakistan and Afghanistan. Every view looked like a painting. Stunning.

nickEcave · 30/04/2020 20:45

The view from rock arches in the Namib desert at sunset. The minerals in the rocks glow so brightly you can hardly look at them. The view across peat marsh to the sea in County Galway when the sun is shining and it's not actually raining but there is so much moisture the air is full of rainbows.

OnTheMoors · 30/04/2020 20:46

A Vulcan aircraft flying very low overhead at an air show many years ago. Precious memories with my dad. The engine was phenomenal

OnTheMoors · 30/04/2020 20:47

bunsanroses1 I would love to see that
