For compost and plants and paint and gravel and sand and quite a few other things to stop us going crazy with boredom. So we can't even garden and do some jobs that need doing around the house whilst we are supposed to spend most of our time there? Fuck that, hoping the garden centres will be opening soon, for some us gardening is essential for good MH.

I know this is a lighthearted thread, but it's made me so angry and sad at the same time.
I work at a national discount store.
People have flooded in since lockdown to buy stuff for their homes and garden because they're bored. Our sales have gone through the roof and have surpassed last year and the year before that sales.
We started off at being terrified the all the extra custom because none of us were prepared (ppe etc).
Now we are all bloody furious at the self centred, careless and quite frankly stupid people that are coming in in their droves to by fence paint, hot tubs and soft furnishings.
Its not a case of "just popping in" and spending the rest of the day in your garden for us. It is a constant stream of people, normally families, who think that their need for crap is more important than our safety.
I"ll probably regret this post later, but I honestly feel like we are not seen as human beings, human beings who are fucking terrified that we take this virus home with us.

The waste pipe under my toilet cracked, and has been spewing out foul water into my bathroom and hallway.
My plumber bought pipes and other materials, I have had to buy a new toilet to repace- all from B& Q in the past 2 days.

Is a repair to a sewage leak not essential? Should I have left that another month or two?

These aren't corporate POS, they will have been printed in store. There are similar types everywhere at the moment.

Quite how you can possibly claim to have seen the same sign as the OP and have seen all the signs in the country to know they are all the same is beyond me.

Well sorry you are struggling Eyeslikethesea, but I did not consider my purchases "crap" they were needed. I also can't see how you are getting families in your shop. I always go alone, and round here most people do the same or 2 max. Shops are not letting kids into the shops either here so it is a shame your shop does not have security on the door to stop that.
