To think no one is stockpiling fucking aubergines

I know it’s not a big deal. But we’re shielding DD so getting food deliveries and it’s such a pain in the arse only being able to order 3 of anything.

I understand for high demand items it might be necessary to limit items but surely some common sense should be applied?

I’m beginning to think I’ve made a strategic error by recommending excellent aubergine recipes! Going to struggle even more to get them now😂

I'm getting some aubergines (perhaps) with my hanging basket and salad veg, dairy, meat etc etc from a wholesale supplier that has tweaked their website and delivery team.

Find a (closed) gastropub owner or two and see if they are recommending a supplier that is delivering.

@Sexnotgender I made the burnt aubergine chili today using aubergines from my veg box, and added some revolting smoked tofu that I was sent in error. The tofu melted in (just as I'd hoped) and it tastes good. Thanks for the recipe!

Tofu is something that doesn’t entice me. I probably should try it but it doesn’t look great.
