The girl who lives opposite to me and other tales of horror

So the girl who lives opposite has had her boyfriend around two days in a row. They sit at opposite ends of the drive and TALK.

Aibu to call the police, the fire brigade and the exterminators?

Never mind Covid, they make the place look untidy!

And I saw two people TALKING when I was out. Like it was a normal day.
Monsters.

Aibu to spend my lockdown photographing and hounding the dregs of humanity?

I live in a world heritage site you know. Standards must be maintained.

THANK YOU!!!! Stay safe twitch curtains aggresively, TUT indignantly then report then to the pious self rightious fbook vigilantes!!

'FBOOK vigilantes' - are you joking? Some of this lot need referral straight to NextDoor. The Opus Dei of neighbourhood watch tho some say there's Russians in there, stabbing into the Back of the British Way of life, stoking discontent among the 'burbs. Reports are going straight up the chain to Putin.

CaptSkippy · 22/04/2020 20:59

Ugh, do they have Corona haircuts too?

RibenaMonsoon · 22/04/2020 21:13

Cherry coke? Oh heavens above!
I bet they order in Sainsburys too!

You'll have to get a waitrose order in and pay the delivery driver to sit outside your house for a while. At least it will show that some people on your naice street have standards.

TheSultanofPingu · 22/04/2020 21:22

I would leave them be. If they didn't touch your wall it's just not worth the hassle.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 23/04/2020 00:23

You’ll never sell your house after this.

stayanotherday · 23/04/2020 00:33

I'll bet they're the type to only change their bed linen six times a day. Phone the Daily Fail immediately.

SarahTancredi · 23/04/2020 00:33

Pyjamas in public and cherry coke

Never been so disgusted

ellyeth · 23/04/2020 01:31

Thank goodness for a thread like this. I am very tired of people nitpicking about what they see as infringements of the "rules" - which quite often aren't even infringements - monitoring their neighbours' activities, tut tutting at people going for a walk, etc, etc.

managedmis · 23/04/2020 02:03

Did she pay less for her house too?

One of my fave MN comments EVER

TheRobotsAreComing · 23/04/2020 08:10

Any more sightings OP? I hope you're logging all movements in your Moleskine...

CreakingatTheWhinges · 23/04/2020 09:51

Good morning OP! I hope you managed to sleep despite the distressing shenanigans of yesterday? It’s a new day so hopefully the reprobates across the street will by now have been on your local FB groups & seen the reports about their dirty carryons & how this has affected the neighbourhood. Unfortunately given they clearly have the hide of a rhino for indulging in such utterly filthy behaviour in the first place, they probably won’t recognise themselves in all the outraged posts 🤷🏻‍♀️
I would have a dettol spray bottle to hand to squirt aggressively as needed. Failing that, go nuclear - go big or stay go home!
🍀 today - we will all be with you in a socially distanced spirit!

cannockcandy · 23/04/2020 10:21

I came on here thinking "oh here we go, another bitchy post" and am giggling my head off.
Yesterday we had 2 kids, get this, riding their bikes!!! They were going in circles around their block coming within 12 feet of my house! Disgusting behaviour!

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 23/04/2020 12:01

I have just looked out of my window.

There are four People talking to each other in the street! Two of them are standing close to my car!

One of them is Sitting on my Wall!

And they look Elderly! Perhaps they should be Shielding!

Should I call the police for their own good???

trappedsincesundaymorn · 23/04/2020 12:05

I am absolutely disgusted with the Hermes delivery driver...not only did he deliver the package I was expecting at the time I was given....BUT he stood at the end of the path and made sure it was the right address AND wished me a good day. I shall now scrub said delivery in acid for 4 hours then douse it with bleach as per the rules.

LadyMary50 · 23/04/2020 12:11

This is hilarious and has made me laugh for the first time in 3 weeks.Especially as my local community page is full of people having a fit because they saw a woman in her 70s actually out shopping for her essentials, they were practically forming a lynch mob on-line😉

cookingmywaythroughlockdown · 23/04/2020 12:20

The elderly couple down the road were seen out of the house. I called mountain rescue and they lashed them to stretchers and bought them straight back.

Madam over the road has been outside in shorts (shudder), talking to a different boy (ugh) and drinking Fanta (passes out).

It's hell tbh.

The horror of my day gets worse...my elderly ndn is outside, hanging out her washing...the bloody cheek of the woman, doesn't she know she's not allowed within a sniff of the outdoors.

drspouse · 23/04/2020 13:41

I know trapped, my NDN were outside with their toddler LAUGHING. I ask you!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 23/04/2020 13:42

I'm disgusted with my dogs.

They cannot seem to be able to grasp social distancing and generally roll around with not even inches to separate them. Bastards.

Tootletum · 23/04/2020 13:43

Water balloons!

AvalancheKit · 23/04/2020 13:52

So long as the lady has her legs crossed rather than her knees bent up to her elbows then it is acceptable. After all, that is what Audrey Hepburn would have done.

HedgehogDramas · 23/04/2020 14:15

Very funny thread!!

jwpetal · 23/04/2020 14:22

No. Don't do it. What kind of country do we live in that turns our neighbors in for nothing. Reminds me when I lived in an ex communist country and that is what everyone did to get points with the police. Ughh
Are they keeping distance? Maybe one of them is depressed and needs to have support? This was with my friend. She was going crazy. Who are you to judge. We ask that our police are human and make rational decisions. This is not rational. I would wonder what is happening with you that you can make these judgments. You say you don't like her. Are you then saying that if it was a 'friend' you wouldn't mind?

jwpetal · 23/04/2020 14:23

oops just made the thread serious. I am grumpy today.

MrsSnitchnose · 23/04/2020 14:34

There is no way Cherry Coke is an essential purchase

What's the consensus on Cherry Pepsi? Grin

I witnessed the completely unforgivable scene of two grown men kicking a football about in their own garden yesterday.
