I’m at a grand total of 5 pounds!

Anyone else finding they’re gaining weight?

I don't know how much as I don't have scales, but I have put some on. I guess a few pounds. Was doing well but now seem drawn to eating white bread, cheese, crisps and biscuits. Not enjoying healthy food at all.

Candyflosscookie · 19/04/2020 21:58

@Bluebooby was always told to weigh first thing in the morning, after first pee but before eating or drinking anything. That's supposedly the most accurate. I guess if you do this the same way each time, you can see a general trend without so much of the daily intake affecting it anyway.

MsMeNz · 19/04/2020 22:01

Lost 2-3lb but I've been trying very hard too lose so a bit disappointed with that. Trying to get out of the more at risk category.

Thighdentitycrisis · 19/04/2020 22:06

5lb too
I weigh myself every Monday so might have an update tomorrow

AnneElliott · 19/04/2020 22:13

I've lost 5lbs. I've never gone up and down stairs so much! At work I use the lift!Blush

Namechangedforthisreply7 · 19/04/2020 22:42

I’ve lost half a stone. More exercise since lockdown than I’ve ever done. Bonus.

Britishsubject · 19/04/2020 22:54

Ohhh I have lost weight - 7 pounds! I think it's because I am eating better - I am moving way less but not eating the sort of rubbish that I normally would on the go.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 19/04/2020 22:57

I don't know because I don't have any scales...but I think I may come out of it lighter as we need to ration food and drink and am exercising more

Nikki360 · 19/04/2020 23:02

Yes 😤

Oscarthegrouch47 · 19/04/2020 23:10

I don't even want to know. Before all this I was a slimming world member and had lost close to two stone but since the sessions got cancelled I've been completely useless. Slimming world is great but if you don't stick to plan then you will put all the weight back on. I've been having all the bread, crisps, Easter eggs, booze and at a guess I'd say at least half a stone already.

Really disappointed with myself actually but food and alcohol are a comfort to me right now.

Douberry · 19/04/2020 23:15

No scales in this house but by the amount of comfort eating I've done, I feel so flabbyConfusedCake

Purpleorangegerberas · 19/04/2020 23:18

I don’t have scales in the house but my jeans are feeling a little looser!

Tumbledryer1 · 19/04/2020 23:27

Haven’t a clue, but eating loads of crap and wearing stretchy trousers. Need to do something before I’m back out in public though 😳

PatchworkElmer · 20/04/2020 03:39

@MrsJBaptiste it’s obviously much harder for you as you’re stuck inside for 12 weeks.

I was fit before lockdown- at the gym for at least an hour 6 days a week, walking 5k at lunchtime 4 days a week, swimming and gymnastics with DS, etc. I am doing more now because DH unfortunately has to work until 9:30 at night to get his hours done, so I put DS to bed at 7ish and then have 2.5 hours to kill, which I just use to exercise. DS and I are doing Joe Wicks every morning, too- which is helping to clock up more time for me.

That said, I am only maintaining my weight- so I’m either eating more without realising it, or that 5k lunchtime walk at work was more important than I thought it was!

Midnightmusing · 20/04/2020 03:57

I’ve gained a kilo but I’m pregnant so I’ve let it slide Grin

Camomila · 20/04/2020 05:08

I've lost 6lb, partly because I was ill one week, and partly from taking DS1 for long walks with DS2 in the sling.

I'm happy as it's baby weight and means I can carry on lockdown-stress baking.

Frannibananni · 20/04/2020 05:28

I’ve lost 4 lb but def more bloated and soft, not that I was fit before.

SimplySteveRedux · 20/04/2020 07:15

12kg, I'm sedentary normally but this has come as a shock. Losing massive clumps of hair each day too. Not happy...

copycopypaste · 20/04/2020 07:19

4 lbs. I'd list 18 since the start of jan so I'm gutted it's going back up

Newbie1999 · 20/04/2020 07:24

6lbs! I’m blaming the constant alcohol - I won’t be drinking this week and will be running to see if I can shift some of it.

Isawamagpie · 20/04/2020 07:31

Around 5lbs, and I was already stressing about my weight. Yesterday my trousers split right through from arse to foof!
Last week started doing something about it and forcing myself to do home workouts (which also saw me breaking down into tears at one point!)
Doing C2 5k and this week staying well away from alcohol.
Yesterday I used my fitness pal and recorded the 4 beers I had... equivalent to a huge meal! And I'm usually a whisky fiend, so my weight gain is 100% down to alcohol.... including my big round belly, as much as I've wanted to deny that!

Xenia · 20/04/2020 07:34

I am trying to lose a pound a week but that started just before lock down. The link between covid 19 and obesity is worth people looking at.
it is however very hard for people and lockdown is going on and on (and in my view too long).

MsTSwift · 20/04/2020 07:46

Had a routine medical in October and told my bmi 27 firmly in overweight category. Eek! Thanks to 16/8 lost 2 stone in 4 months now bmi 21. My 11 year old said the other day “somehow your clothes look nicer now there is less of you” 😁 so determined not to put it back on

I ate everything in sight for the first couple of weeks and put 4lbs on. I realised they were going to have to roll me out at the end if I continued so I've stopped the wine and watching what I eat now I've lost the four and one more so I'm happy with that will keep going and hopefully lose a fair bit more.
