I’m at a grand total of 5 pounds!

Anyone else finding they’re gaining weight?

Wallabyone · 19/04/2020 09:58

I'm feeling low about myself because I've been going to slimming world and have lost 9lbs over the course of a few months, and I've managed to gain 5lbs back. I know I deserve it, because I have been massively comfort eating, but I can't seem to stop myself.

Anyway, it's Greek Easter today, a huge eating day so I'm getting it out of the way and then drawing a line under it tomorrow. I'm going to keep a food diary and stop the mindless snack binging.

Neverfore · 19/04/2020 10:03

I've lost a couple of lbs. I find it easier to pick healthier snacks at home & I'm never usually organised enough to take lunch to work so end up buying crap. However Zoom has reinforced the fact that I look every inch of my BMI of 29 and I need to lose 2 stone asap. I've just got used to carrying the extra weight over the years and in my head I'm still 9 stone.

legalseagull · 19/04/2020 10:03

I've lost 3lbs. No eating out or takeaways, no popping to the corner shop for chocolate. Less drinking.

IllegalFred · 19/04/2020 10:45

Lost about 2kg, mainly down to having to ration food/milk a bit more.

TubereuseNordlys · 19/04/2020 10:54

Lost about 7lb - little to no snacking, C25K.

Still got 5 stone to go though!
It's easier to control on lockdown - dreading the biscuit and cake culture of the staffroom when we go back.

Auridon4life · 19/04/2020 11:03

Years of academy training wasted!

Imboredinthehouse · 19/04/2020 11:08

Well I feel pudgy so I just nervously got on the scales. Despite the increase in Pinot Grigio & loads of home baking I’ve actually lost a couple of pounds.

thecatsthecats · 19/04/2020 11:09

Another one who finds it much easier to diet on lock down. No surprise really, as it was hellish job stress behind my weight gain in the first place.

Husband not doing so well. He ordered some snacks off Amazon - all biscuits and crisps. Made him stash it all in his own office.

fishfingerface · 19/04/2020 11:39

Lost about 5lb

Lippy1234 · 19/04/2020 11:42

I’ve gained 6lb. I’ve been having a takeaway every 4 evenings instead of once a month, a bit more alcohol and lots of chocolate, plus bigger, tastier meals in general.
I really need to get on top of this.

GinDrinker00 · 19/04/2020 11:52

None. Sad
I’ve lost 6 pound... wouldn’t be complaining but I only weigh 6 stone despite scoffing my face constantly. Was waiting on medical appointments for it but good old corona got in the way of that. Sad

Dartsplayer · 19/04/2020 12:09

I looked at myself on some Zoom calls this week and was horrified at myself so I weighed myself yesterday morning - 6lbs on since the beginning of April so since yesterday I've gone back to calorie counting on MyFitnessPal. Hope to get a fair chunk off by my birthday in mid-May. I really want to do some exercise but I suffer with plantar facilitis and every time I've gone out for a walk I get half way round and feel a tearing sensation then have to limp home and put my feet up. I might try some armchair exercises so as not to aggravate it

GemmaTellerMorrow · 19/04/2020 12:25

I've lost 2lb but I do find it really difficult not to put weight on so it's been an effort.
What's made the difference to me is that another 7lb on would tip me from overweight, to obese, and I understand that weight is a factor in surviving/ not surviving corona.

raspberryk · 19/04/2020 12:30

I'd already put on 2.5stone in 18 months, started to do something about it and lost 10lb in 4 weeks ... pretty sure 8-9lb of that is back on in the last few weeks.
We are eating and drinking like it's the weekend every fucking day , I HAVE to do something about it.

littlepeas · 19/04/2020 12:31

I’ve stayed more or less the same. I’m going to try and lose a few lbs now, as I teeter around bmi 25 and want to be a bit more safely into the healthy weight range.

Natsku · 19/04/2020 12:31

2kg. I've been baking so much, which I rarely do usually, and not being going for my usual long daily walks. And started drinking twice a week which adds a fair bit. Weather is finally getting nicer where I am so going to try and start walking again if the ice has melted on the forest paths (very quiet, easy to social distance there as I can just jump off the path into the forest if someone comes by)

amusedbush · 19/04/2020 12:35

I've not gained anything, which is a miracle. I've been snacking a lot more, picking at chocolate and stuff but I've consciously stopped eating breakfast to make up for it.

I find it easier to skip a meal than to cut out the snacks, because otherwise I'll just crave it all day. I was diagnosed with binge eating disorder in 2010 so I walk a fine line between bingeing and restriction.

Ruby889 · 19/04/2020 14:00

I thought i did as ive been snacking alot..kept avoiding the scale. Luckily im still same exact weight

allaboardthesinkingship · 19/04/2020 14:07

It was 2lb but it's gone again now. I was drinking and eating so much but back on SW now and already feel so much better for it!

lightlypoached · 19/04/2020 15:02

4 kilos Sad

I've been ill for a few weeks then got a very bad back so no exercise and very limited walking for 2 months. I'm usually really active and the lack of moving plus way too much wine - and snacks - is the cause.
Back is recovering and I'm back on 16:8

I will get rid of my lockdown lovehandles Grin

MargieMo · 19/04/2020 15:09

A few lbs at the start as I start working from home and got used to the new regime, but gradually started exercise and healthy eating again and lost it.

My DS on the other hand...he really needs to get some exercise

Penners99 · 19/04/2020 15:10

I have lost almost a stone

AnotherMurkyDay · 19/04/2020 15:24

I put back on the 12.5lbs i had lost, and an extra 0.5lbs for good measure. Back on the diet tomorrow

amijustparanoidorjuststoned · 19/04/2020 15:29

I'm guesstimating about half a stone, possibly more. I had the virus and whilst I lost my appetite, the only thing I could stomach for a week was dry bread, chips and digestives Grin

I know I bang on about this a lot here, but I just want those of you who have gained weight and feel negatively, to know about it that it's totally fine to comfort eat and gain a few pounds at the minute. There is a pandemic going on and people are dying. Give yourselves breaks and embrace your bodies Flowers

PierceHawthornesSexDungeon · 19/04/2020 15:35

Put on almost half a stone but I'm hoping once I've had my next period and all the Easter chocolate has gone, that I can try and lose a bit.
Walking every day for around 4k which is a huge lifestyle change since I got ill over a year ago but then I'm having a drink most nights which won't help.
