I’m at a grand total of 5 pounds!

Anyone else finding they’re gaining weight?

Mikki2019 · 19/04/2020 15:43

@amijustparanoidorjuststoned it is a problem to put on weight .. overweight and obese people are much more at risk of complications from Covid than those with a normal bmi ..

MsTSwift · 19/04/2020 15:48

Maintained which is a relief as lost 2 stone since last Oct don’t want to undo good work. Easter didn’t help and have been drinking too much wine with diner but that stops tomorrow as holiday ends. Have been doing an hours turbo and weights every morning as usual

adreamofspring · 19/04/2020 15:49

5lbs. I work out with the kids for 30 mins every day and drag them round for a daily walk. I’m not eating more either but I’m clearly not getting on as many steps as when I was tearing around commenting and doing pick ups etc.
Would work out more if I could but my job is relentless at the moment (50 hour weeks WFH) and then there’s homeschooling to be done too Sad

adreamofspring · 19/04/2020 15:49

Commuting*

ShadowLightning · 19/04/2020 15:54

I haven’t checked, but I’m guessing probably around the 4-5lb region. I’m eating more meals and doing a lot less exercise. I’m also drinking more.

I want to spent the next few weeks getting it back under check but honestly I am unmotivated I can’t be bothered.

Thedogshow · 19/04/2020 16:00

3lb, and that’s whilst I’ve been trying hard not to! Still within the healthy BMI but now closer to the top end. Annoyed with myself. Have been having too much wine, cheese and chocolate. And cooking endless meals for young children, so can’t avoid being in the kitchen.
Mostly snacking out of boredom.

Gwenhwyfar · 19/04/2020 16:01

Too scared to look at the scales. I can 'feel' my thighs when I walk though so I know it's something and not just temporary bloat on the abdomen.

orangejuicer · 19/04/2020 16:02

I think I'm maintaining at the moment but that won't last for long.

Gwenhwyfar · 19/04/2020 16:05

Amazed at the people moving MORE. Before lockdown I was just active all the time and now hardly move.

bluebeck · 19/04/2020 16:06

Another one who has been too scared to look but I have switched to wearing joggers instead of my jeans Blush

I will weigh myself tomorrow. I imagine there is a COVID Fatties thread on weight loss?

MrsJonesAndMe · 19/04/2020 16:09

None so far, but I'm keeping a close eye and trying to remain active. PT work and a young child helps!

TAKESNOSHITSHIRLEY · 19/04/2020 16:17

we all weighed last night, the 9 y old has put on weight, which is normal(normal for him to do 2-3 pounds a week)the 15 y old has stayed the same, me and my partner has lost

our normal lifestyle is caravan holiday sites every 6 weeks, educational day trips, normal day trips, home ed groups, beach days forest walks, cinema 2-3 times a week(depends if there is anything out that week)scouting activities, camping trips

as we home educate and are a scouting family we are out most days

we buy food on the go either fast food places, pop in to restarants or take a picnic,we never make from home its bought on the go at a supermarket

when home we make home made fresh food so as we cant live or normal lifestyle we are eating more home made meals

MrsSnitchnose · 19/04/2020 16:17

Not looking! Thinnk it's about half a stone, putting me just over mid range in the healthy bmi category. I'm used to being on my feet all day and that's stopped now.

Just waiting on my dvd to arrive (my previous one has disappeared) then will get back to losing again. I'm not going back to work fatter

DFAMA · 19/04/2020 16:28

Almost a stone! I'm picking constantly and wfh so hardly walking plus drinking a glass of wine or 2 most evenings out of pure boredom. I need to sort myself out

foreverandalways · 19/04/2020 16:28

I have lost 2lbs so far.....feeling really down and not much of an appetite...honestly guys, quit worrying about the small stuff..so long as we all stay safe that's all that's important atm..x

taptonaria27 · 19/04/2020 16:33

We've all lost weight, eating healthily at home even with treats and taking our daily exercise with the dog.
I'm a SAHM but dh and the kids all eat too much crap during the day

BramwellBrown · 19/04/2020 16:36

I've lost 18 pounds (I'm big enough that there's still plenty to lose)

Combination of still working and having to walk further as the bus that stops near work isn't running, no fast food, far less snacks and DD and DH being so bored that I come home to really healthy home cooked meals rather than the processed crap I generally eat.

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 19/04/2020 16:39

Also losing weight. Thanks to the gall stone diet I have visible clavicles and intermittent abdominal pain! Go me!!
Tbh: I'd be enjoying lockdown much more if I could have some comfort food.

JinglingHellsBells · 19/04/2020 17:27

None.

I've been doing more exercise.

DramaAlpaca · 19/04/2020 18:16

I haven't dared weigh myself but I know I've gained as my clothes are getting tight. Too much wine and snacking and I miss my active job. I need to start sorting myself out.

MurrayTheMonk · 19/04/2020 18:20

I've actually lost half a stone. But I'm a care home manager and I'm working all the hours and it's so stressful that I'm not even hungry.

After all this is over I'm fairly sure it will all go back on.

Imapotato · 19/04/2020 18:26

I’m trying not to think about it.

I’m still working in an active job. But I’m definitely eating more and drinking more alcohol at weekends.

It’s probably only a couple of pounds extra so far, but it’s only going in one direction.

Whatsername177 · 19/04/2020 19:17

The first week I was awful- I drank wine every day and comfort ate. I had a word with myself, tried to eat normally and started Couch 2 5k. I don't think I have gained or lost over all (probably gained in the first week then lost what I'd gained.) I'm pleased with myself for sticking to the running and the best thing about it is it stops me reaching for the wine. About to start WK 4.

HazelBite · 19/04/2020 19:23

I dare'nt get on the scales, everthing has become very tight!

B0bbin · 19/04/2020 19:24

I need to get back to having mealtimes instead of eating the whole time I'm awake. I've just realised that's actually what I'm doing!Shock
