I’m at a grand total of 5 pounds!

Anyone else finding they’re gaining weight?

OhNoNoNoNotThatOne · 19/04/2020 08:31

Half a stone here too.
I'm back to my post birth weight and it took me 7 months to shift it. But only 4 weeks to but it back on 😭 I'm now almost 2 stone heavier than I want to be.
Not moving as much and not being in the gym is really not doing me any favours.

Intothefuture · 19/04/2020 08:34

I have lost the half stone I’ve been trying to lose for five years. Little appetite, no inspiration to cook and a bare fridge for a couple of days between shopping deliveries has done it.

Fluffybutter · 19/04/2020 08:35

I’ve actually lost 7lbs . I’m not snacking as much and I’ve found as I’m less busy I just don’t get hungry

florentina1 · 19/04/2020 08:38

I always thought I was quite lazy but I must have been more active than I thought. I have not changed my diet but have gained 5lbs. Am going to have to walk quicker and further when I take the dog out.

Desmondo2016 · 19/04/2020 08:40

Lockdown is not to blame for the lack of being active and the weight gain. You are! Move people! Plenty of bodyweight and cardio free videos on YouTube. Walk walk walk. And step away from the snacks and the alcohol. Or let it all go and enjoy it, there's nothing wrong with a lazy day or a bit of weight gain, especially at stressful times. But if its bothering you and you're NOT chilled about the weight gain stop making excuses and do something about it.

ZaraW · 19/04/2020 08:41

4 kgs. I'm still working but eat out of boredom when stuck at home.

MiddlesexGirl · 19/04/2020 08:42

Half a stone here too Sad
Activity levels are so much reduced and pretty much constant access to food. I started doing 16:8 yesterday as I'll be overweight if I put any more on.

Ivebeentohellanditscalledikea · 19/04/2020 08:45

I just wish I could go for a decent fast walk but with my three dragging their feet and moaning it isn't happening. They are 9+ so not the age I can stick them on scooters. I'm usually on the go constantly at work (special school with lots of manual handling) but now it's just trying to get them to do school work and breaking up fights. On the plus side I've bought a cheap exercises bike so I can do that while they are working/killing each other.

Racheyg · 19/04/2020 08:46

7lbs.
I used to do 4 spins a week averaging at 600 cals burnt a class and 2 circuit classes. I also used to walk dcs to school and then to and and from the tube.

I'm also baking with the kids and we're all eating the same meals so lots more food.

I've got my road bike out and doing zoom hiit classes but it's not the same.

I need to get myself sorted 😭😭😭😭

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 19/04/2020 08:46

I've lost😱 I don't know how much because I don't own scales, but my clothes are bit lose and my belt confirmed it😱
More time to cook and concentrate on what I am eating and more time to work out. Plus I am not a grazer anyway so I stick to normal food times

Parker231 · 19/04/2020 08:49

None (yet) but I’ve replaced my gym classes with long runs and cardio workouts at home. Less snacking food around has helped and no meals out.

9lbs Shock

carlywurly · 19/04/2020 08:50

About 2lbs here. I've exercised loads though so don't feel less toned.

Need to knock off the sugar - I don't normally eat any bar a couple of chocolates a day with a post-exercise evening coffee.

And the daily glass of wine with dinner. Sad

Runningonempty84 · 19/04/2020 08:51

I've lost a couple of pounds, mainly through being too busy to eat.
I'm also not exercising anywhere near as much as usual, so I'm not getting the hunger that comes with a lot of running and cycling. I'll have lost fitness though Sad

Jeezoh · 19/04/2020 08:52

I lost 3 lbs initially but am now 4 lbs above my goal weight. Am exercising in one form or another daily and trying to limit my snacks to evenings only.

Poetryinaction · 19/04/2020 08:53

Ponaka7 I heard of gyms lending their equipment while they are shut. Could you contact a local gym?

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 19/04/2020 08:56

From what I know they are lending to their regular who they know, since these are less likely to disappear

Fishfingersandwichplease · 19/04/2020 09:02

I have made some lifestyle changes and lost 10lbs.(decided to try and come off medication/stopped going to the bakers and exercised every day) Still got a long way to go but am hopeful.

BadlyAgedMemes · 19/04/2020 09:06

1-2 lb, so not much, but I'm not really happy, as don't want to have any weight creep. No more snacks (apart from ones specifically for DH, hopefully the kinds I don't like) or wine to be brought into this house!

PatchworkElmer · 19/04/2020 09:09

I’m exactly the same. Which is ridiculous really because I am doing so much more exercise! I didn’t realise how much walking around at work was keeping my weight in check.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 19/04/2020 09:10

I don't think my mass has changed much but I have become un-toned because I was quite poorly over the winter. The sudden loss of marching from the car park to my office, or around the site I work on, plus lifting/carrying heavy stuff at work has compounded it. Fortunately I'm easing myself back in with pilates and a bit of HIIT. I haven't been snacking but we've bought a lot more biscuits than usual for after tea.

WitsEnding · 19/04/2020 09:11

About 3lb which is still within my normal range, but I feel flabby without my swimming. I don't usually carry spare weight and will probably need the extra if/when I catch the virus.

BadlyAgedMemes · 19/04/2020 09:13

I don't have any good excuses, either. I had a pretty decent home exercise routine before the lockdown already: yoga, body resistence, dumbbells, a crosstrainer at home etc. We're also well stocked in healthy ingredients and able to cook normal, healthy meals.

I'm just getting more and more depressed, it seems, despite upping my meds, and totally doing the dumb thing of mindless snacking and drinking out of feeling shit, and giving into the blerch.

Anychance123 · 19/04/2020 09:15

Probably half a stone. Ive not got weighed but my jeans split when playing with dc and they were loose a few weeks ago! I’ve been snacking more and drinking more wine at night. I really should exercise more.
