I’m at a grand total of 5 pounds!

Anyone else finding they’re gaining weight?

My jeans split Blush but I still needed to lose my Christmas weight too. After eating all the lovely treats for 3 weeks I decided to start dieting and I’m now 5.5lb down out of 11lb. I need to get back into my remaining jeans!

Pippioddstocking · 19/04/2020 09:22

4 lbs, not been this weight since pregnancy. I still exercise daily but only half of what I was able to do before ( ran 50-70 miles each week) now I seem to be eating more chocolate and drinking more wine . It's the evenings that are the hardest .

beela · 19/04/2020 09:22

@WitsEnding I am really missing swimming too. I would love to go and swim boring lengths for an hour right now Sad

edgeware · 19/04/2020 09:23

I’ve lost weight. Morning sickness. 🤢 would love having obsessing over food to occupy my days.

Katinski · 19/04/2020 09:25

Lost and continue losing.Freezer and cupboards full of food, but without exercise, no appetite.Sure it would be different if I didn't live alone.

Hippywannabe · 19/04/2020 09:25

9lbs, but I had lost 30 in 2 months previously so I am pulling it back today! waiting for Tui to cancel my half term holiday, eating treats to compensate for boredom and DH being home for 5 weeks all bar 8 days have all just made me eat rubbish.
I am on the rota this week to work, we have decided to not buy any more food until the 2 freezers are empty (apart from milk, bread, etc) and I just read an article about the prognosis for overweight people. That has scared me silly.
I do need to get up off the sofa more, yesterday was the laziest day yet, less than 2000 steps.

Honeyroar · 19/04/2020 09:26

None, but I haven’t lost any for two weeks and I had been losing steadily. We live on a small holding so I’ve been outside doing jobs, which must be balancing the little bit of choc I’ve started eating!

Duvetday8 · 19/04/2020 09:26

I've lost a couple of pounds. I'm still exercising as normal (about 1.5hrs per day mix of running and weights) and I'm making sure I watch what I eat as I don't need as many calories if I'm not doing things like the walk to school each day

Nearlyalmost50 · 19/04/2020 09:26

None, because after two weeks, I realised I was getting fatter and quickly dropped the endless snacking and treats! I don't want to come out of lockdown in the summer larger than when I went in, I'm not losing weight, I'm trying to keep the same weight, so I just don't eat chocolate or crap every day and I don't eat high calorie food (I'm not doing a proper calorie controlled diet, but I don't, for example, add lots of cheese to my pasta, or eat tubs of ice-cream).

PurpleDaisies · 19/04/2020 09:27

I’ve lost 2kg. Think it’s the time to cook properly and lack of takeaways. I’m not exercising as much as normal so I still feel more wobbly though.

ginghamtablecloths · 19/04/2020 09:28

I put on 7lbs before the lockdown and felt a bit down about it as I'd previously got down to 9 1/2 stone. Pure self-indulgence, I'm afraid.

Now I'm trying to get motivated to eat more healthily again and ditch the treats. I loathe exercise but do a little each day - obviously I must do more.

PonderTweek · 19/04/2020 09:28

I think I've maintained which is good, because pre-lockdown I used to walk so much, and now I get to go out very rarely and it's usually just a quick stroll with my toddler. I have been doing Joe Wicks HIIT five days a week and can see that my legs are looking a bit more muscular, which is a pleasant surprise even if it means that my jeans feel tighter. Grin I feel like I have been snacking loads but I guess it's not too much as I haven't ballooned yet. But there's still time... Wink

Spied · 19/04/2020 09:28

3lbs up.
I don't think I've eaten a proper meal for over a week. I cook for dp and DC but find I'm just constantly snacking so I'm not hungry for a meal. All high salt/sugar/fat foods.
Already I've had fruit, toast and haribo. Eyeing up the cheese now.

Babdoc · 19/04/2020 09:29

I don’t recommend it, but the Covid diet is very effective weight loss! I dropped 3lbs in the first 3 days. After 13 days of illness, I was hospitalised, and the staff on the respiratory ward pulled me back up with roast dinners, sandwiches, toast and puddings, once I was out of the Covid unit. I’m now back to my usual 10 stone, but too weak to exercise much, so I expect I might gain a pound or two yet.

TheOrigBrave · 19/04/2020 09:36

I won't comment on weight but I am doing far less exercise and I really miss it.
I swim and run and bike normally, and now I am only biking because I need to use my exercise time with DS (and I have a sprained ankle).

Nothing can replace my swim and I loathe doing stuff in my home - a big part of exercise is getting out of the house.

hannabarbera · 19/04/2020 09:37

Zero. Im still active and not eating more.

lazylinguist · 19/04/2020 09:40

Probably a few pounds. I've been doing considerably more exercise than usual, but this just proves the point that compared with diet, exercise has little effect on your weight unless you are doing seriously huge amounts of it.

Tjsmumma · 19/04/2020 09:42

Lost 3 kgs through absolutely no trying 😭

Werkwerkwerkwerkwerkwerk · 19/04/2020 09:42

About 10 lbs. I've now tipped the scales into extremely overweight.

Will be using the rest of this time to work on portion control and snacking and ensuring I use my exercise time

ponchek · 19/04/2020 09:43

I've lost. Cycling hard. Totally delicious but frugal diet. It's a good opportunity.

Stopped wine after the first few weeks of dousing myself to 'cope'. Realised it's bloody nice being at home.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 19/04/2020 09:44

Guesstimating a stone
As my ‘can fit into at slimmest’ trousers are painful

Let’s blame wine , chocolate and a lot of meals

It’s hard to fix when I have this mental fug and am so tired

EmbarrassedUser · 19/04/2020 09:47

I’ve lost 11lb!!! 🤗🤗 It’s the lack of takeaways and less access to snacks. Aiming for 2.5 stone.

Ilovejammies90 · 19/04/2020 09:49

Ive gained 3lb.

Been doing dancercise peloton 3x a week minimum. 3x a week 30min yoga sessions

Daily walks

Occassional runs

I am definitely moving much more...must be my bad diet and drink choices

I’ve stayed the same. I’ve found I’m not hungry in morning so generally not eating breakfast, whereas I would normally. I’m drinking around the same, maybe a little more, as I’m making sure not to drink Monday to Wednesday.

I’m eating similar but exercising a bit more - in terms of zoom HIIT classes and going on turbo trainer. I was already exercising quite a lot pre lockdown. My general day to day movement has decreased as not travelling into office etc which is probably why weight has stayed the same and not reduced
