A queen somewhere in Asia cooking for the poor?

Harry and Meghan delivering meals?

Bet if Diana was here she’d be out doing everything in her power to help the ordinary folk 💪

Also I know plenty of couples with three kids, trying to homeschool them and hold down demanding jobs at the same time.

Even if we accept the ludicrous suggestion that they don't have any staff with them, it doesn't take two of them to look after the children. One of them can be the SAHP - the other one, get off your backside and do an honest day's work for once in your life.

The British public do in the form of the public money that funds them. Which would revert to the state of the ceased to exist. That’s a lot of money that could be channelled into the NHS right now.

Wills worked as air ambulance pilot for years. God knows what would satisfy you, if you don’t find that ‘honest work’.

What exactly would you like them to be doing OP? Other than following the rules that we all have to follow by staying at home with their family and going out as little as possible, as per government guidance?

Well the only useful thing they’re really qualified is air ambulancing.

He won't be qualified anymore, he'd need retraining/requalifying..and that could well be regarded as a waste of resources given current circumstances.

B) the fact that the royals expenses will be much reduced this year with curtailed travel and entertaining

It would have been an appropriate gesture for the queen to hand back some of the sovereign grant for this year.

It has not been raised. Surprise surprise.

I have lived an considerable time in the UK, paid tax there, have all the rest of my family in the UK, paying tax.

Not that that has any relevance to whether I have a right to an opinion on a public forum. Obviously I do.

Typical defensive technique to attack the poster, not the argument. Why not focus on that.

The Monarch is ancient... Her heir, a man, is pretty old. They're not going to let him take massive risks and risk a barely teenage King George on the throne.
Kate has no specific skills, she could of course be trained up to be a HCA etc but that takes time and resources, and see above Re risks if she brings something home. The way the press is it works also be disruptive with the press trying to get a photo of Kate in her uniform, patients being pumped for details.

I'm not sure they have much choice.

If they are doing anything behind the scenes, they're vilified for not publicising it. If they publicise it, they're vilified for showing off.

Apart from a vague attempt to pretend they are increasing tourism, which we know they are not.

i havent read the full thread but i think as future king and queen they should safe and be more distancedand thats why they are not out and about with such activities.(like Queen and PC) i dont blame them.
