Husband wants to go on holiday now!

Into the caravan on the driveway.

It’s flippin gone 9pm and he wants to faff about with bedding, toilet solution, waste tank, water etc, at this time of night!

If he’d said earlier then I’d have been up for it, but me and daughters have sunk 3 bottles of fizz, and had a dance party, really can’t sort the caravan now.

I said we’ll do it tomorrow night but now he’s in a strop and said we’ll leave it til next weekend.

AIBU to not want to faff with the caravan right now?

Let him sort it all out by himself then join him when it's ready.

TheStuffWasBad · 17/04/2020 21:19

On holiday where?

Is this a wind up?

Orangeblossom78 · 17/04/2020 21:19

Let him have his own little holiday!

Twospaniels · 17/04/2020 21:20

@TheStuffWasBad
Just into the caravan on the driveway, not actually taking it anywhere

hesgotit · 17/04/2020 21:20

Tell him to do one!

Oysterbabe · 17/04/2020 21:21

It's only a holiday if the caravan is nicer than your house.

Peppafrig · 17/04/2020 21:21

I think that's lovely go enjoy your night away OP

Twospaniels · 17/04/2020 21:22

@Oysterbabe
It pretty much is nicer! 😁

He wants to have a holiday on your driveway? WineGrin

slipperywhensparticus · 17/04/2020 21:23

Tell him to crack on and enjoy

CeriseClementine · 17/04/2020 21:24

As soon as the weather turns again we’re going camping in the garden. Can’t go to Cornwall as planned this week so next best thing.

Moonshinemisses · 17/04/2020 21:25

Go for it, sounds fun. Don't forget to hang the sign on the door 'If the vans a rockin dont come knockin'

Twospaniels · 17/04/2020 21:25

Lots of people are having weekends ‘away’ in caravans and tents on their driveways and in their gardens. Some have donated ‘pitch fees’ to charity.

@Moonshinemisses

it's 9pm, hardly the middle of the night. If he wants to, why would you spoil his fun. Chill for 30 minutes whilst he gets everything ready and you're done.

It's not like it would really matter if he forgets something Grin

The local scouts have done a challenge this Easter (possibly nationally, I don't know) to camp in your own garden. Kids loved it!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 17/04/2020 21:33

Why not just do the bedding and nip back inside for the loo and teeth washing?

popsydoodle4444 · 17/04/2020 21:36

Is he trying to tempt you into some kinky caravan sex?

LouiseCollina · 17/04/2020 21:37

Lol, nice to see some people haven't forgotten how to have a bit of fun! Go on holidays OP, humour him! Smile

Malvinaa81 · 17/04/2020 21:38

I assume, and you confirm, you have all been drinking- some more than others from the sound of it.

Caravans on drives is of course another subject........

topcat2014 · 17/04/2020 21:40

My beavers are doing camp at home again on 8th may.

I will be setting my tent up in the garden.

If I had a caravan on the drive I would use it all the time!

DaphneFanshaw · 17/04/2020 21:40

Ah gwan gwan gwan.

TryingToBeBold · 17/04/2020 21:41

Aww it sounds fun!

Redshoeblueshoe · 17/04/2020 21:42

OMG I wish we had a caravan. I'd take it in turns just so I could get a good night's sleep.
We do have a spare bedroom, but I really don't fancy sleeping in a bunk 🛏️
Maybe if I have more 🍷 I might.

Bearbehind · 17/04/2020 21:44

I’m sure it’s lockdown madness but it occurred to me that there’s a whole world of difference in that sentence between ‘my beavers are’ and ‘my beaver is’ 😂

Yummypalmtree · 17/04/2020 21:44

Martin is that you? Shit on it!! 🤣
