Husband wants to go on holiday now!

Into the caravan on the driveway.

It’s flippin gone 9pm and he wants to faff about with bedding, toilet solution, waste tank, water etc, at this time of night!

If he’d said earlier then I’d have been up for it, but me and daughters have sunk 3 bottles of fizz, and had a dance party, really can’t sort the caravan now.

I said we’ll do it tomorrow night but now he’s in a strop and said we’ll leave it til next weekend.

AIBU to not want to faff with the caravan right now?

Enjoy @Twospaniels - hope your DH doesn’t snore as much as mine did after a few beers - hence me not being able to sleep and heading back inside! Grin

Love this thread Wine

Enjoy op

ArgumentativeAardvaark · 18/04/2020 21:27

A bottle of wine each? You’ll both be comatose, won’t matter where you are sleeping...

Allgirlmum · 18/04/2020 21:30

So people actually camp in the garden and CAll it a holiday that's madness 😂

notchickenagain · 18/04/2020 21:34

Well, I hope he sorted it all for you op, sounds like you usually get it ready so of course it's easy for him to say you're a spoilsport! Envy you, our camper is on the drive ready to go but our drive is on a steep slope. It'd be like sleeping standing up!🤣

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 18/04/2020 21:34

Comatose after 1 bottle, only if op is a lightweight......

Northernsoullover · 18/04/2020 21:41

If I had a caravan I would do the same. I really fancy a change of scenery.

Iamamoleinahole · 18/04/2020 21:57

It’s a man cave thing. DH is locked up in the back room listening to rock.

Mummyshark2019 · 18/04/2020 22:01

You should go!

Siameasy · 18/04/2020 22:08

Brilliant
We used to camp out in the garden as kids. Fond memories of it. There were always earwigs though.

Diversion · 18/04/2020 22:13

I am a keyworker and am still at work but have a few days off. I like my own space and so put the tent up in the garden. I slept there last night and will do so for the next few nights. I camp out in the garden most years at some point so this isnt anything unusual really. DH could join me if he wanted, but never camps in the garden only when we go away. youngest DD who is still at home has been invited but also declined. fully carpeted, table and chair, laptop, lighting and the cooker so I can make breakfast and a brew. Lovely!

BigChocFrenzy · 18/04/2020 23:39

It sounds fun Grin

Well, when you can't go anywhere else you have to get creative lol

Lanurk · 19/04/2020 00:04

Sounds fun. Except for the bit where it’s assumed you’re going to sort it all out. If it’s his idea then he can sort it 😎

AcrossthePond55 · 19/04/2020 01:43

Happy Camping!!!

XingMing · 19/04/2020 17:32

It's a flat balcony with railings outside our bedroom, so no danger of rolling off, and only 10 feet further from the loo. We've been doing this occasionally for 25 years... but only in good weather. We are quite safe. But thanks for your concern @WotchaTalkinBoutWillis.

Whoops, DS jumped on me when u had phone in my hand reading another thread, so not sure a) how I got back on to this thread or b) how I managed to post such nonsense in rapid time Grin

I can't help thinking about Friday night dinner though....

OptimisticSix · 08/05/2020 08:15

Its a nice idea but not so late... We've been camping in our garden - which just reminded me how much I dislike camping Grin
