So We're all stuck in as we know. I have a newborn and a 2.5yo, and DH wfh so most of my day is chaos with one millisecond of the day to myself. Oh and its my birthday this week (woooo).
I've not spent any money of late as DH does our food shop (I cover all bills and budgeted some spending money for mat leave). I am still in mat clothes thanks to not being able to get new ones I can fit in but I am comfy and reluctant to have to return items. I am generally not someone that spends money on myself, it mostly goes on the kids.

But like most, I am low and anxious, and want to 'treat' myself but no idea where to start in the current climate.

So has anyone treated themselves and if so what, why and did it work??

@caperplips- I bought a mix of hardy ferns, some primula vialii; trillium recurvatum and trillium grandiflorum. They’ve just arrived, so I will plant them out this afternoon!

Three new tops from my favourite on-line shop. Two of the tops are sparkly. I shall wear them, even though I'm not going out anywhere for the foreseeable.

I'm also thinking of ordering a second crate of white of wine Blush

I’ve just ordered some really beautiful pasta bowls from Denby is different pastel shades. Can’t wait until they arrive. They are going to sit out on the worktop instead of in a cupboard and I am going to admire them.

EyeShipMiceElf · 28/04/2020 14:24

@Shockers What’s the Neom magnesium body stuff like?
I ordered the mystery box they were doing for £70 and the products are worth £135 and it’s lovely but no magnesium moisturiser in there. I want some of their perfume too. I want everything from there!
The Happiness room mist was in the box and I’ve been spraying it all over the house.

x2 midi skirts, one from joules and one from monsoon, a lovely broderie blouse from monsoon and a new pair of Birkenstock’s because at this rate I’ll walk through my Arizonas so I’ve ordered a pair in the Mayari style, I’m very excited for them to arrive Grin

I’m also looking at some hair stuff from OUAI, but we’ll see...

mathanxiety · 28/04/2020 14:29

Long story, but a Tortuga rum chocolate cake arrived yesterday via FedEx. Yum.

wishihadagoodone · 28/04/2020 14:32

I finally bit the bullet yesterday and ordered a hot air brush. The Babyliss Big Hair one to be exact.
Treated myself using the boots points I've built up over the past year and a bit so didn't even have to spend anything!

Can't wait til it arrives. I have such frizzy hair and no skill with a hairdryer so hopefully this is the magical item all the reviews say it is!!

Shockers · 28/04/2020 14:59

@EyeShipMiceElf- I love it, but DH says I smell of ‘old lady! Grin. I think I sleep more deeply if I shower and apply it before bed. I got a room spray too (which he also doesn’t like). The dogs are really calm after I’ve spritzed the sitting room!

Shockers · 28/04/2020 15:02

I've saved a fortune during the lockdown so I've had new doc martens, replaced my sports bras and had a few bits of crafting equipment. Not spent a lot but it's nice to spoil yourself once in a while!
