So We're all stuck in as we know. I have a newborn and a 2.5yo, and DH wfh so most of my day is chaos with one millisecond of the day to myself. Oh and its my birthday this week (woooo).
I've not spent any money of late as DH does our food shop (I cover all bills and budgeted some spending money for mat leave). I am still in mat clothes thanks to not being able to get new ones I can fit in but I am comfy and reluctant to have to return items. I am generally not someone that spends money on myself, it mostly goes on the kids.

But like most, I am low and anxious, and want to 'treat' myself but no idea where to start in the current climate.

So has anyone treated themselves and if so what, why and did it work??

Finally found some wax melts with a scent that fills the house let alone the room, want to try their candles next from Otium. The black fig one is lovely.

Mascotte · 19/04/2020 15:47

Oh @Ekefox they sound nice. I’m always on a quest for lovely smelling candies and things but most are pretty rubbish. I’ll check them out.

A box of home hair dye (shared with Dd) and a take away tonight

nixso29 · 19/04/2020 15:59

Some skincare bits from The Ordinary, two loungewear/tracksuit sets, and a new Superdry winter coat which was reduced down to £50! Got a trip planned over NYE so hoping the coat will be needed

Tootletum · 19/04/2020 16:15

I want to order half the Superdry website. Not actually pushed the button yet.

BramwellBrown · 19/04/2020 16:16

I treated myself to some new sewing and craft supplies, I went through and put all the odds and ends and left over bits in DDs craft box and got myself nice new stuff.

Was trying to hold off on buying online until really really necessary. In Ireland we haven't been told to shop online to support businesses, just that hopefully we'll be able to support them when this all ends. I have such a list though!!;)

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/04/2020 16:56

My pyjamas arrived yesterday! I washed them and hung them out to dry, and today I've changed our bedding, so tonight I will have a soak in the bath, then slide my clean self into my gorgeous new silk pjs, and into my nice clean bed. Grin

*@Pinkarsedfly - I would like to get a table tennis kit but don't want to make a mistake a get a rubbish one. Are you happy to recommend yours and say which one it is? Thank you.

emilybrontescorsett · 19/04/2020 17:07

I’ve bought 3 dresses from eBay. 2 have already arrived.

I've just ordered some lovely candles for my two DDs, from a local beauty salon that is a one woman business recently opened. I'm hoping she won't close down completely after this is over.

GenderApostate19 · 19/04/2020 17:15

£400 worth of decking and trellis to make something like this >>
We are finally getting round to taking down an ancient summer house.
Oh and hiring a skip to clear out 25 years of accumulated ‘stuff’ from the garage. Nearly £200 for skip hire 😱 I nearly passed out with shock.

I'm dying to buy a lazy spa hot tub but can't find one for love nor money!

Riv12345 · 19/04/2020 17:19

A big fish of profitarolls covered in chocolate 🙈🙈

Riv12345 · 19/04/2020 17:20

Dish not fish

Wacadu · 19/04/2020 17:23

I'm recovering from CV and I've been furloughed, so I treated myself to a new sun lounger for the garden.

Clockworkprincess · 19/04/2020 19:21

Dp ordered me sports wear after I've regained a love for dancing after training ds while in lockdown and will be carrying it on. Have currently got a basket ready to go with socks and replacement casual tops as haven't replaced in about 4 years, nothing fancy but excited as never treat myself

dementedma · 19/04/2020 19:29

I've bought a new t-shirt and face cream. Still on the hunt for new bedding and also want a stone bird bath for the garden

Destinysdaughter · 19/04/2020 19:33

Bought some lovely things from Laura Ashley and Debenhams as they both have sales on ( sadly because they are both going into administration). These included a fluffy throw, a vase, wine glasses and a gold toilet brush!

IndigoApple · 19/04/2020 19:41

Put in an order with John Lewis today. Gin, jigsaw, bra, candles and chocolate! Have also ordered tonic online as we have gin but hardly any tonic in the shops!

Also earring from Accessorize sale.

Ladolcevida · 19/04/2020 21:18

I am loving these treats. Is Hush a good brand for day/casual dresses? And what about brands for shorts/leggings? Ideas welcome! Thank yiu
