To ask if you've treated yourself to something as a pick me up right now, and what it is

So We're all stuck in as we know. I have a newborn and a 2.5yo, and DH wfh so most of my day is chaos with one millisecond of the day to myself. Oh and its my birthday this week (woooo).
I've not spent any money of late as DH does our food shop (I cover all bills and budgeted some spending money for mat leave). I am still in mat clothes thanks to not being able to get new ones I can fit in but I am comfy and reluctant to have to return items. I am generally not someone that spends money on myself, it mostly goes on the kids.

But like most, I am low and anxious, and want to 'treat' myself but no idea where to start in the current climate.

So has anyone treated themselves and if so what, why and did it work??

A beautiful new Fender guitar! It's one I've wanted for years and it arrived yesterday. I love it so, so much. Lots of time to practice, too!

I bought some books, chocolates, wine & a food hamper from a local supplier. I’ve also bought some flowers for the garden to brighten the place up.

I need new skin care so I might pop out to the chemist and lift my prescriptions tomorrow and get skin care while I am there.

Some moshalulu slippers. Love them so much! And got a tassimo coffee machine from ao for £30, came with free delivery and £20 worth of vouchers to buy pods. My old slippers and kettle had died though!

A Beauty Pie membership (£99 for a year ) and can then treat yourself to top quality skincare, make-up, candles at 10% of the price. I’m loving pampering myself at the moment.

I ordered an outdoor table tennis table 3 weeks ago and the 15 yr old has actually been outside using it! Wonders never cease. I think we are becoming quite obsessed with it.

Well my food shop came (yes I am a lucky bastard) and I brought SCONES and CLOTTED CREAM.MmMmmm and I have my eye on some comfy looking culottes (practical with two little ones and cool in the summer). Literally it seems people panic brought lounge wear... There's so little left in my size!!

Almond shower oil from L’Occitane, a skirt and super soft cardy from Debenhams and an Asian style parasol for the garden 😊 Oh and lots and lots of wine and chocolate!

We are just in the process of buying our first home after 11 years of renting (I know) so keep on popping items in my basket....just ordered 2 soft close toilet seats from wayfair. What a treat 😂 oh and just ordered DH a playstation game as a little treat, he's still working but I've been furloughed and obviously ds and dd are home so thought he deserved a little treat!

A shark hoover..... our old Hoover died, and the new one was reduced, so win win.... and totally worth it as the kids love it so are gleefully hoovering every day. Also, it came in it's own box, inside another box, so DS has used both boxes to build a space ship

Today I also got 2 deliveries..... a fitted sheet for DS 's bed ordered weeks ago(extra deep as we've just added a mattress topper and the sheet kept coming off making him extra grumpy)
2nd delivery was an order from This Works..... ahhhh, brings me back to pre DC days when I could splurge on lovely things! Got a couple of roll on scents and a diffuser for DD.... hopefully will help with her anxiety and sleep issues. Box was filled with free samples of pillow spray, face mask etc.

Also treated myself to a reduced Ferrero easter egg today.... best £2 I've spent this week

Oops! Forgot that I ordered a ninja foodie.... out of stock until May, so I'm trying to not get excited yet, just in case it doesn't arrive

Please be careful folks as I used my bank card for the first time in ages yesterday and it has been cloned and someone went on a shopping spree last night. Can't get through to anyone at Barclays so am going to have to go to the bank today.

@Holothane Currys are doing the tassimo for £35 with free delivery atm, I got one!

I've bought a Neom candle and 'happy' roomspray, plus some bras from Figleaves. In Tesco I hope to get some chocolate cocoa gin (Sipsmith).

Excited to try my fancy body scrub today!

My tassimo machine is seriously temperamental and refused to work again today so I may look at a new one. Even just virtual window shopping cheers me up.
