Just that do you in a couple go to bed at the same time?

DontStandSoCloseToMe · 07/04/2020 20:44

Sometimes, if we're on similar working patterns but sometimes I'm tired and go to bed to read and DH status up for a bit, or I'm watching something and DH goes up first to read. We used to both be real night owls but a baby put paid to that

Haggisfish · 07/04/2020 20:45

Nope. Dh goes up about 1.5 hours before me.

Sexnotgender · 07/04/2020 20:46

Yes always.

Blondefancy · 07/04/2020 20:46

No very rarely ever! Infact the only times we have consistently gone to bed at the same time was when each of our DD’s were newborns! (And then that only lasted a couple weeks Grin ) I am a morning person and he is a night owl, I’ll go to bed at 9-10 as we have a 4 month old that is ebf so I need my kip for the night feedings! Dp will come in 12-1. Fine by me, we have snuggles in the morning!

Canyoutellilikrchocolate · 07/04/2020 20:47

Yes.
If one of us wants to stay up late for some reason we’d sleep in the spare room

StrangerDays · 07/04/2020 20:47

Yes, pretty much always. I might go up to bed half an hour earlier to read a book, but not often at all.

AgnesNaismith · 07/04/2020 20:48

Yes every night for the last 13 years....other than maybe 2 where we’ve fallen out before bed Confused

EC22 · 07/04/2020 20:48

Yes. Almost always.

NamelessNinja · 07/04/2020 20:48

Nope, very rarely and if we do he will still always go to sleep after me. It really doesn't bother me

Standrewsschool · 07/04/2020 20:48

No, i usually go up first, but if dh is tired, or wants to watch a different tv programme, then he’ll go up. Sometimes we’ll go up together.

RandomMess · 07/04/2020 20:48

Almost always especially since we had to put the cats and dog to bed, they like their routine!

speakout · 07/04/2020 20:48

We have separate bedrooms.
I like an early night.
I have no idea when OH goes to bed.

UncleHerbie · 07/04/2020 20:49

I like to be in bed by 2130/2200. My husband stays up late (0030:0100) and if he wakes me, I'll be awake for a couple of hours while he drops off immediately

It's occasionally annoying as I'm an early riser; however, but when I was abroad for my dad's funeral last month, he said to ring him at any time - I was GMT -4 / and I did a couple couple of times when I was upset, and he was delighted to hear from me, so I'm not complaining [too much]

bigchris · 07/04/2020 20:49

No never !, I go at 10 and he comes up at midnight if he doesn't fall sleep on the sofa

mamalovebird · 07/04/2020 20:50

9/10 we go up to bed together at 10 but he falls asleep and I usually watch the news then newsnight in bed. He is an early bird and I'm a night owl so sometimes he'll go up and leave me to potter downstairs but most it's me catching up with the day in bed.

OuterMongolia · 07/04/2020 20:53

No pattern here - sometimes I go up first, sometimes he goes up first, sometimes we go up together.

JohnCo · 07/04/2020 20:53

We used to but my wife had treatment for cancer and now gets tired early. I mean she goes to bed at 6:30 or 7:00. I often go to be with her earlier then I want to as I'm not tired but it is nice to be together. Before cancer we always went at the same time.

Brooksey5 · 07/04/2020 20:53

Yes unless I need to work late for a deadline. I think it’s important for a couple of work schedules allow Smile

Livpool · 07/04/2020 20:54

Pretty much always do

Everythingmagnolia · 07/04/2020 20:55

The vast majority of the time we go together

Ronnie27 · 07/04/2020 20:56

Yes it’s quite important to our relationship to have that chill on the sofa then go to bed together as we don’t get a lot of time together during the day even on weekends.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 07/04/2020 20:57

Not on purpose. A lot of the time I try to go up earlier so that I can fall asleep before the snoring starts! He often gets interested in some shite film and stays up to watch it if he's not working the following day.

screwcovid19 · 07/04/2020 20:57

Yes, nearly always.

MrsGrindah · 07/04/2020 20:59

Yes and I love it and it’s currently 8.30!

Musicalmistress · 07/04/2020 21:01

Almost always although OH reads for ages whilst I manage a few pages then fall asleep. Occasionally if I'm unwell I'll head up first but feels a bit odd for us.
My ex H I always went to bed first & watched tv, he didn't come up till long after I was asleep - maybe that's part of why he became my ex lol
