Woman walked out of Tesco in front of me carrying 2 cucumbers only! Wtf?

You are being ridiculous. Settle down and look at your own life rather than searching for problems in other people's.

Satsuma2 · 05/04/2020 17:45

Ffs leave people alone.

SlipSlidin · 05/04/2020 17:46

I wish we had a lockdown on stupid goady threads like yours, it’s nasty and pathetic. Just stop it please.

EmeraldShamrock · 05/04/2020 17:47

She had lube too, it was in her pocket. Poor love can’t get a tinder shag right know can she 🤣

FourTeaFallOut · 05/04/2020 17:48

I bet you could make a lot of masks with all the material on those judgy pants op.

MrsJackRackham · 05/04/2020 17:48

I'd gone to the local shop for a loaf, milk and cheese. I was almost out the store when I remembered DP had asked for a scratchcard so I went back and bought one. Anyone in the queue would have thought that's all I'd bought. Should I expect a thread about me and my non essential shopping trip/ one scratch card a day addiction?

Mintjulia · 05/04/2020 17:50

If you have a small child who will only eat cucumber, cherry tomatoes or yellow pepper as their 5 a day, then yes, they can be.

Not sure why they couldn’t be bought as part of a big 10 day shop though.

FlowerArranger · 05/04/2020 17:51

Today I queued for 10 minutes to get sime sprouting broccoli...

Preparing to be flamed Grin

Willow2017 · 05/04/2020 17:52

Good grief not another competitive bare essentials thread.
Exactly, my kids live on raw veg, if I needed other things and the only thing there was was cucumber then I would get it.

Keep your beak out of other peoples business! What the hell does it matter to you what she bought?

Fernie6491 · 05/04/2020 17:52

To be honest, if I want to buy things in my Tesco, and they are there on the shelves I will buy them. I bought a home hair-colour kit last week, (as well as groceries) 'cos I don't want grey hair! if the supermarket doesn't want us to buy certain items then they should remove them from the shelves.

bettythedevilyouknow · 05/04/2020 17:53

Who are we to judge other people's food choice. Jeez.

BallacheForLife · 05/04/2020 17:54

For fucks sake, wind your neck in OP who gives a shit if someone bought a sodding cucumber!

EdersonsSmileyTattoo · 05/04/2020 17:55

What are you? The shopping police??

DH went out this morning for wine and Easter eggs, so what?

You don’t know anyone’s circumstances or story, stop being so beaky!!

OlaEliza · 05/04/2020 17:56

Cucumbers are very essential I've had no fresh fruit or veg/salad since the shop we did the day after lockdown here (Spain) so 21 days ago. Our 'cornershop supermarket' doesn't have much fresh atm and we are only going once a week. We could go down to the main supermarket but choosing not to.

I'm craving an avocado salad.

funinthesun19 · 05/04/2020 17:56

So what? You do realise that not everyone who goes in to supermarkets will always come out with a trolley full of food? Before during and after the virus. People need to top up on items, and that includes healthy food like cucumbers.

And just in case you forgot, fresh fruit and veg don’t last very long. So people will need to top up on them like they need to top up on things like milk.

midsomermurderess · 05/04/2020 17:58

There is no list of 'essential' items. If they are for sale and she is buying them, what the hell does it have to do with you? What did you people do with your time and energy before Covid19? Fantasise about living in Romania under Ceausescu?

ThatFriendsReunion · 05/04/2020 17:58

that idiot is not going to survive for 2 weeks on 2 cucumbers, is she?
So how can it possibly be essential.

BigusBumus · 05/04/2020 17:59

Who the fuck cares what others buy apart from you saddo.

Flymetothetoon · 05/04/2020 18:03

That woman you saw is happy to have her 2 cucumbers.
I'm hoping you OP are just as happy with your arse handed to you!

Enjoy.

ThatFriendsReunion · 05/04/2020 18:05

Who the fuck cares what others buy apart from you saddo.

everyone who will have to put up with a stricter lockdown because of idiots like that? Isn't that enough reasons for you?

Shitfuckoh · 05/04/2020 18:05

They are in this house! My eldest has ASD and a very limited diet. One of the few fruit/veg/salad things he will eat!

Carrots, cucumber AND peppers feature daily here.. as essential as milk and bread to us

ThatFriendsReunion · 05/04/2020 18:07

H went out this morning for wine and Easter eggs, so what?

so we will end up with the same horrible conditions our neighbours have to put up with. So people like that are selfish twats. Thanks for that. Bet they'll be the first to moan when they won't be allowed to behave like that anymore.

Buggedandconfused · 05/04/2020 18:07

🙄

ifonly4 · 05/04/2020 18:07

We should be avoiding contact with people as much as possible, so going in for just two items isn't ideal. DH was banging on about going to the supermarket while I was at work (suspect to get me an Easter eggWink) - I soon came up with a list to make it worthwhile (bananas, bread, carrot, stirfry veg and plasters) which will mean I can delay my main weekly shop another day or two.

SpaceCadet4000 · 05/04/2020 18:07

It took me about 10 seconds to realise why you were even posting such an inane thing. YABU.
