Am I the only one who actually couldn’t give a shiny shit what she has to say at this time.

People are dying , everyone is affected so the last thing we need is a rich old woman sitting in her ivory castle asking us to stay calm.

It’s really wound me up, it’s constantly being mentioned on the news!

OP posts:
Clavinova · 05/04/2020 11:55

But for all those excited people they’ll have been others thinking “oh just fuck right off

Clearly - all 384 of them signed up to that anti-monarchy organisation. I imagine that some of the members are on here as well.

BurneyFanny · 05/04/2020 11:55

You can still donate cash while social distancing.

LaurieMarlow · 05/04/2020 11:57

Because we're in the middle of a pandemic.

Loads and loads of non publically funded people are making a difference from their own homes.

Will can’t get up off his arse because ... ?

Mamamia456 · 05/04/2020 11:58

audreysview - The Queen now bring compared to Kim Jong Un ? Since when has our Queen ever sentenced some one to death, Don't be ridiculous.

FillyBilly · 05/04/2020 11:59

Totally agree. I want to say "Oh fuck off! You with the best medical care that money can buy, preaching to us. Go fuck yourself!"

Clavinova · 05/04/2020 11:59

He worked part time for under two years

Not part-time according to Fox News 3 days ago;

"The royal completed his helicopter pilot training in 2010 before going on to become an RAF search-and-rescue pilot. William transitioned out of that role in 2013 to work full-time as a pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance. This month, the prince became a patron of the London Air Ambulance Service after supporting their anniversary campaign."

LaurieMarlow · 05/04/2020 12:00

The Queen helped the war effort in the middle of a blitz

LellyMcKelly · 05/04/2020 12:03

“I want to tell you that I am selling off some of my palaces and jewels to raise £2bn to find a vaccine for the corona-virus.”

If it’s not that speech I’m not interested.

Pelleas · 05/04/2020 12:06

You don't have to be a member of an organisation to support its objectives. The Conservative Party in Britain has 191,000 members. The Conservative Party received 13.9 million votes in the last General Election.

Disfordarkchocolate · 05/04/2020 12:06

Totally not interests, she and Andrew hold no interest for me.

audreysview · 05/04/2020 12:08

Mamamia You need to keep up. It was in response to Clav telling us all how excited the hospital staff was getting the phone call off Wills. I wasn’t aware the queen had been phoning them? Apart from that I wasn’t saying William was like KJU at all. Just showing how easy it is for some people to look up to someone they consider their superior with something akin to adulation. If KJU condescends to speak to ordinary people they practically fall at his feet in gratitude for noticing them..... It’s THAT concept.

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2020 12:08

This thread has been entertaining but this is true

As said, never underestimate the Windsors' capacity for self-preservation
The strongest bind weed

HM has done some good things her passing will be a blow to the RF standing in that regard

audreysview · 05/04/2020 12:10

So did my parents, a lot more though. Nobody thanked them as far as I know.

derxa · 05/04/2020 12:11

Loads and loads of non publically funded people are making a difference from their own homes. Do you mean Jamie Oliver? Grin

Clavinova · 05/04/2020 12:12

Will can’t get up off his arse because...?

He is more useful doing stuff like this - he had a telephone meeting with a homeless charity and he used his position to highlight that charity's message;

"THE GOVERNMENT has asked councils in England to house all rough sleepers by the weekend, just one day after Prince William issued a plea for more help for Britain's homeless during the coronavirus crisis"

Gosh yes, I know.

I’m not bigging up the Queen particularly. I’m just comparing her to her workshy grandson who apparently can’t do anything to support the nation against CV bar a couple of useless phone calls.

Clavinova · 05/04/2020 12:15

The anti-monarchy organisation has raised less than £10,000 in their latest campaign - it's not exactly the Brexit Party is it?

Exoffice · 05/04/2020 12:16

Will can’t get up off his arse because...?

goodness - I didn't know people actually believe the PR drivel. Being 'useful' by highlighting a charities 'message'. It's embarrassing to say the least.

LaurieMarlow · 05/04/2020 12:16

He ‘wants’ to help the homeless, but not doing anything practically or financially himself to make that happen.

But like ‘wanting’ to fly the helicopters isn’t it.

‘All talk no action’ Wills.

Pelleas · 05/04/2020 12:17

It's worth noting that George VI and the then Queen Elizabeth stayed in London throughout the blitz - they didn't sod off to the countryside. In my view that was the very least they should have done, however, little though it was, it's still more than the present generation of younger royals.

Pelleas · 05/04/2020 12:20

I don't understand why you're fixating on the activities of one small organisation as a barometer of anti-royalist sentiment in the UK.

I voted Labour - I've never been a member of the Labour Party or donated to them though.

I'm a lifelong republican but I haven't joined the organisation you keep going on about.

MarshaBradyo · 05/04/2020 12:21

I don’t either it’s a diversion.

I don’t care about that organisation mentioned over and over but I still think the RF has had its day. Which has been made apparent during this pandemic.

BurneyFanny · 05/04/2020 12:21

Prince William in «carefully not asking why there are rough sleepers in the first place» shocker.

LaurieMarlow · 05/04/2020 12:22

Exactly

Nursing aide Brenda Hadley, 49, said «bunch of bloody time wasting parasites, they can all fuck off». But we decided not to put that in the paper
