Opened it this morning and there’s a message from a ‘founder’ member of the group.

“Me, hubs and the kids were out last night making lots of noise for our NHS heroes. Disappointed to see that some of this group don’t care enough to give up 2 minutes of their time!!! Maybe you forgot..(then a list of names including mine). Will be sending you a reminder next week!!”

I know she’s a twat but I’m fuming. I’m not going to dignify it with a reply because she and her little crew of followers love a public war. I’m just going to ignore her but if she thinks she’s forcing me out next week she’s got another bloody think coming.

Tbh if I wasn’t on lockdown I wouldn’t even give it 2 thoughts but I’m winding myself up about it now!

I'd reply by saying I helped the NHS by voting for them to be adequately resourced to endure they had decent pay and equipment that can save their lives. However. Continue to clap if it makes you feel better about your poor choices

I have been on threads saying that I would be interested in the antibody test as I am sure I and all my family had it over Christmas and New Year and been told that I was mistaking what we had for a cold or the flu and we couldn’t have had it as it was too early and Corona wasn’t in this country at that time.

Now it is being said that hospitals knew it was here in December/January making it all the more certain that a lot more people probably had the virus before it was acknowledged

Don’t forget it wasn’t till almost the last day in December did China admit there was a problem.

Would you feel bad if you turned up at the hospital unable to breathe and the people there thought you weren't worth their time and completely ignored you ? Is it so hard (are you so special or just unappreciative and rude?) to say thanks in a small way to people who really are putting theirs and their families lives on the line every day for you ? From the person answering the phone to the people turning up to transport you and yours to hospital to the nurses and doctors and porters getting you the help they hope will save your life because they have no other reason to be there. How thoughtless can you be ? I posted earlier mentioning my family who are front line. I didn't mention our police officer or A&E nurse/ nurse practitoner/ paramedic/delivery drivers and my own hubby who is a software engineer keeping our water clean and drinkable. He is often in the middle of nowhere in the worst weather. Like most silent essential workers in this country he just gets on with it expecting no thanks. It's his job. He's happy to do it. In a time like this when people are running for cover all of these essential workers are out there doing it. Don't be ungrateful. Don't be selfish. Help us to keep our families and your families alive. Stay home. Stay well and stay safe.

A family 4 doors down had a bbq today. There were no extra cars, I’m going make a leap and imagine they didn’t have guests, shocking! My dh cleaned and lit the bbq this week, it’s a huge egg thingy, it had mould on it, so he cleaned it by lighting it. Should I phone the police?!
