Is getting on my last nerve.

They seem to be trying to put the spotlight on him and turn him into a big ‘personality’ and it’s pushing me more and more often to Radio 4 until he’s safely out of the way.

He’s an over excitable twit basking in his new found fame just a little bit too much for my liking. His Brummie accent has been coming out much more strongly lately too. He’s hamming it up and trying to create a niche persona for himself.

I jumped ship from Radio 2 to 6 music when Terry popped his clogs. Lauren Laverne, Mary Anne Hobbs, Shaun Keavney, 3 lovely engaging people I can listen all day long. And the bonus of Mark Radcliffe and Stewart Maconi on a weekend.

The other day Richie was talking about "Schwan Schtreet" which made me feel very annoyed indeed.

I mourn Radcliffe and Maconie on R2 in the evenings. I barely watched an hour of weeknight TV when they were on in the evenings.

I tried to listen on and off when they had the afternoon slot on 6 music but I never seemed to get into the habit of switching regularly because I liked the Jeremy Vine show and it sort of messed up my routine.

I tried to find them on 6 Music the other day actually, and they were not there. I didn't realise they'd moved to weekends. Will definitely check that out.

I also LOVE Bob Harris - he plays the best music but he's on at weird times.

Billysboy Definitely agree that Jeremy Vine fancies the Dr, also I find her clicks mouth very annoying.
But no where near as annoying as bloody Richie, I have found him soooooo irritating ever since he started on the breakfast show. He comes across as extremely self obsessed, definitely oversteps the mark with guests on the show, hes a bloody show off.
Then they got him doing the 3 triathlons for sport relief so we had to listen to him even more.
I definitely think they have plans for him, let's hope it gets rid of him and I don't have to turn the radio down whenever he's on!

I'd get rid of Steve wright before Richie Anderson. God he's a lazy broadcaster. Zero empathy or rapport with his audience, boring, badly researched sleb interviews, stupid egocentric catchphrases.

Sara Cox should have got Breakfast, and Zoe Ball should replace Wrighty. And yeah, Gary Davies is lovely.

So Vanessa can stay, Sara gets breakfast, Ken can stay, Jeremy can stay (but without Sarah Jarvis) then Zoe can have Steve's slot and Gary can have drive time.

Richie Anderson can slope off back to Radio Wolverhampton or whatever it is he's on.

Agree that Gary Davies is great and also quite endearing but he is terrible at Popmaster. He makes far too many comments about how well the person is doing and he also goes too slow.

No one is ever as good at Popmaster as Ken though so it's a bit of a picky criticism.

Oh and I really don't understand why Steve Wright has dogged my afternoon radio listening for four bloody decades. He is a noisy unfunny twat.

Sarah oh isn't she wonderful Jarvis. As the mother of a child with scoliosis who flinches at the term 'hunchback' it was a shocker to hear the esteemed doctor describing people with scoliosis as being hunchback. Scoliosis Assoc UK reprimanded her. No apology though for using the outdated and derogatory term. Grrrrr!

A whole weekend without Anderson !

Radio 2 used to be a great station. It started turning to crap when it started including current chart bollocks on its playlists. So we had to start enduring Jess Glynn, Clean Bandit and Sam Smith. I listened to R2 in the guest place to not have to hear that rubbish.

Which is bad enough. Then just when you thought Chris Evans' ego couldn't inflate any more, it did. He became utterly unlistenable.

Then R2 started giving shows to reality TV fodder, ex-politicians and popstars. Who can't present radio for shit.

The powers that be then shoved Jo onto Simon's excellent show, purely to tick an equality box. Both Jo and Simon are excellent broadcasters, but utterly dire together. I miss Simon and his team. Matt used to make me belly laugh.

Oh and Wrighty's Serious Jockin' (no G) was invented and forced down our throats, ad nauseum. Despite his experience, I can't stand listening to him. He fades out songs after a minute or two and 'sings' loudly over tracks, which is disrespectful to the listener. Oh and the deliberate mis-pronounciation of words to try and be funny. "Skellington" anyone? No, fuck off Steve.

Don't get me started on Janey Lee Grace and Tim Smith. Pair of smug twats. Especially Tim. His voice makes me want to vomit.

I used to enjoy Jeremy Vine, but he just sounds bored now and asks silly questions, or makes odd statements that just make him look like a penis. And his revolting flirting with Sarah "saliva slosher" Jarvis puts me right off my lunch. Horrible woman, complete know-it-all, talks over callers, loves the sound of her own voice.

The only presenters I can now listen to on that station are Ken Bruce, Amol Rajan / Paddy O'Connoll / Vanessa Feltz (when any of them cover Jeremy), Lisa Tarbuck, Paul O'Grady, Jo Whiley, Mark Radcliffe and Sara Cox.

The station is a shadow of how good it once was. I can't even flit to 6music anymore as they messed the schedule around on there too. Miss Shaun on breakfast and Radcliffe and Maconie in the afternoons.

Oh, and Ritchie was okay at first. But like PPs have said, he's being pushed and forced on us by the BBC, there's some huge agenda to make him famous and I don't 100% know why. I think it's probably because he's a person of colour and gay, so they are ticking equality boxes again. I'd rather be hired and championed for my talent, not because of race and sexuality.

RIP R2. Terry Wogan is probably spinning in his grave.

Blimey IchWill- don't hold back will you? Although I do happen to agree with most of what you say. Except Amol Rajan and his prefacing every question with 'with respect'. If he could stop thay little tick I might start to like him.

R2 isn't what it used to be, I've gone over to Gold, at least I can recognise most of the music.

I agree regarding Rylan for breakfast - he’s great but his mum irritates the hell out of me. He’s warm, funny and a good interviewer. I remember him from when he was on X Factor and then various other presenting slots and he irritated the helm out of me, so it’s weird saying that he’s one of my favourites now!

And yes, Ritchie is so annoying! Do not see why the BBC are so keen on him at all.
