It used to get played over and over and over again. When I hear the first bit and that guy going “huh huh huh” like a cat trying to bring up a fur ball my heart sinks. And he wears a stupid hat too.

Anything by Queen but particularly Bohemian Raphsody. I'm truly sorry that FM died but it seems to be tantamount to treason/heresy to hate his fucking awful voice and shite songs.

I love most of the upbeat early 80s songs slated on here but I heard them at a very impressionable age when I had no critical filter whatsoever! Agree about Imagine and Bohemian Rhapsody. It's the pretentiousness that grates. American Pie is another horrible example of that genre. Also Starry Starry Night. Actually I must have had some critical impulses because I remember seeing Julio Iglesias singing that on a TV variety show and being dumbfounded by the sheer awfulness. Grownups really liked some shite music back then: my parents' fave was I Just Called To Say I Love You. I had to boycott Stevie Wonder's Glasto set because of that. Although it sounds like fricking Schubert compared to My Cherie Amour, which is before my time thankfully.

I hate the Ed Sheeran song with the refrain "I'm in love with your baaah-deee". Thank god the rest of his oeuvre is generic and undistiguishable from the rest of the commercial pap perpetrated these days.

I don't like My Way either (apart from Tiny Tim's excellent parody) but I think Sinatra's worst was Love and Marriage. Luckily it doesn't get much airplay nowadays.

spidey a member of my household works for Jet2 and that song is played on a loop during their training sessions and in their rec room. They all hate it too.

I don't know who it's by or what it's called but one with the phrase "like a paddington bear". I don't know why it annoys me so much.

The joke in Liverpool is they named the airport after Lennon because he couldn't get away from the place quick enough.
