Mine is sage and onion stuffing - oh my lord! Anyone else care for a bit of lighthearted divulging? Better out than in, after all!

Onions

YouTheCat · 29/03/2020 21:50

White pasta (as in not wholewheat) - really painful.

kitk · 29/03/2020 21:50

Baked beans and takeaway curry!

user3274826 · 29/03/2020 21:52

Onions, beans, broccoli. But sometimes I'll eat it when I know I'll be alone the next day, and it doesn't affect me. I think maybe it depends how well cooked they are.

1Morewineplease · 29/03/2020 21:52

Pie bases. I’m ok if a pie just has a top crust but, oh my days... if there’s a bottom crust!!! And yes, just say to me “ don’t eat the bottom crust then!” But that’s the problem, the bottom crust is the best bit. Cue an hour or so , on my back, with my legs in the air, enhancing the ambience of the bedroom with the finest otto of roses!

Foobydoo · 29/03/2020 21:53

@Cheapprimarkbra When I read your thread title I came on to say stuffing.
It really does not agree with me at all but I love it. Its the best bit of a roast chicken dinner/salad or sandwich.

dudsville · 29/03/2020 21:53

Onions!!!!

Cheapprimarkbra · 29/03/2020 21:53

Onions are a running theme here! My partner has to physically leave the room a couple of hours after I've eaten them!

Bean sprouts!

Radishes!

Cherrysoup · 29/03/2020 21:54

Jerusalem artichokes 😱 ‘Dig up as many as you can carry’ said Dad as he sent me off to his allotment. ‘Free food?!’ I thought, brilliant!

I drove home to London the next day and made loads of mash from the large amount in the cupboard. I can tell you now, I had the Tube journey from hell, me and the DH staring at each other wide eyed and in agony during rush hour. Dear god, I haven’t touched one since.

Piffle11 · 29/03/2020 21:54

Bananas are particularly bad for me. Onions and garlic make me swell like I'm 7 months pregnant. Shame, as they're in so many things.

BlackKittyKat · 29/03/2020 21:55

Dried apricots - I love them but even I can't stand the stench

Cheapprimarkbra · 29/03/2020 21:55

@1Morewineplease That's so random! Especially as the bottom crust is the same as the top crust?! Loving these replies Grin

Channa dhal; I've only cooked it once. That was nearly 40 years ago, never dared since ... DH bought some a few months back when I asked him to get lentils, I'm hoping I don't have to use it.

His was the time he ate some prunes and then, because for some reason he likes the taste and I was baking, some yeast.

StealthNinjaMum · 29/03/2020 21:56

In the last few days I have been eating store cupboard food to delay the inevitable trip to the supermarket. I have discovered that lentils cause the most disgusting stench. I am glad that we are housebound because my area is not safe out in public.

frippit · 29/03/2020 21:56

Seven dried apricots not the natural colour, the orange ones!

littlecontis · 29/03/2020 21:56

Beans! And chick peas

Piffle11 · 29/03/2020 21:56

@Cherrysoup I remember watching River Cottage and Hugh FW called Jerusalem Artichokes 'fartichokes' … I thought he was over-reacting: had some once, very yummy, but by god, I paid the price. Chronic belly ache followed by almighty wind. Never touched them since.

Northernsoullover · 29/03/2020 21:57

I saw the thread title and thought immediately 'stuffing' Grin

robinsnest1967 · 29/03/2020 21:57

Gravy!

Nothing gives me 'horrendous' wind
